Yeah they are. Plus I liked the boarding school atmosphere. I liked the characters better and the way the story was written had the characters thinking and acting in a more upper class manor. I just really love Private and the Billings Girls and Reed Brennan.

It is unusually cold where I live right now as well. I don't understand it. It is like April wheather in June...
Yeah, I have been wanting to read it as well... I was going to try to read it for the last challenge... Now that it has come up again, and in such an ironic way, for this challenge, I am going to make sure I actually complete this task!
That is really ironic... I wonder why there have been so many questions about The Time Travelor's Wife???

Wendy, I got The Time Travelor's Wife for this task as well! I haven't started reading it yet, though. Did you like it???

You click on the add book/author link next to comment, click book, and then click cover instead of link.

Did you understanding what was happening and everything, even though it was an in-between novel? I have seen them in the bargain section of borders and wanted to read it, but I haven't read any of the other books in the series and wanted to make sure that it would make sense!
I am kind of excited about the +900 page task! I have been trying to force myself to read Gone With the Wind (one of my favorite movies) for the last 10 years but I never get past the second chapter. I did what someone else suggested and divided it up (on my kindle it is 16000 lines/90 days and then rounded up is like 300 lines a day.) Already I have read farther then any previous attempt. Thanks to whoever suggested dividing it up into number of pages per a day!
Would you say that Demons and Angels are opposites for the opposite task? Sorry if this was already asked. I want to read Angels & Demons and Rebel Angels for the opposite task. Thanks!
Out of curiosity, would sweet valley count as small town mayberry? Alice, I read Purple Hibiscus last year. It is really sad! I definitely cried.
I read itvwhen I was in the seventh grade and liked it a lot. Then I decided it would be a smart idea to rent it and watch it... Hat effectively ended a four year obsession I had with world war two and concentration camps... It turns out that I could handle the information and knowledge but I couldn't handle the visual. I haven't read it since and I'm hoping this will give me a chance to reread an old favorite.
I was wondering if The Devil's Arithmetic would count for the 20.2 task? Most of the book takes place during the holocaust but it does start and end in modern times with a modern girl as the main character. Thank you!!!
Jon- while I didn't complete your task, I did start it. I enjoyed the book (sex with the queen) but I didn't have time to finish it. It was an interesting task but 400 pages was hard to meet. I would have had to read another book to make up 35 pages...
