Maxi make sure when you read Water for Elephants you don't think about any of the reviews for the book. I went into this book way to excited because of what everyone said about it...I still enjoyed it but not as much as everyone else. I think if I wouldn't have heard how much everyone loved this book I would have liked it a lot more!

1218 Lindsey, Most of the books i buy are recommended to me. The only way I buy a book I have never heard of is if it is on sale or I really like the author. My mom gives me a lot of books though so I never run out of new things to read.

1218 Jessica I loved The Glass Castle. It was so amazing...kind of depressing but not as bad as she could have made it. It is one book that is kind of depressing that I could read in any mood though. It was my first memoir and because of her I was to read a bunch more!

1218 I know what you mean Ana, I loved that book. I looked at a bunch of reviews on here and they hated. I mean most liked/loved it but some of the people hated it. They didn't like the was she acted and thought she was emotionless. I just think she adapted. I thought it was an amazing book and story! So many things for someone so young to go through. I just had issues with the ending. I wanted to know what happened with the younger sister. Maybe that was just me though.

Thank you for letting me know what kind of cry it was. If it was a really sad cry I might have had to wait to read it.

1218 I know what you mean...I have a friend that I can exchange books with, but not all the books that I read. She would never read The Kite Runner (which is on my TBR List), Water for Elephants, I don't think I would have gotten her to read the Glass Castle either if I would have tried. She only reads the light fluff books. I read everything!

Let me know what you think of the Glass Castle. I loved that book but I know a bunch of people that didn't like it. Just curious what other people think

1218 I have never heard of a-dollar-book store. Now I want to see if I can find one in my area. You got some amazing books there!
Ana I wanted to know what kind of cry it was also. I have water for elephants sitting here and was going to pick it up if I can ever force myself to finish reading this other book. I'm not hopeful so I might have to have my first unfinished book ever. I just can't get into Danielle Steel

1218 I agree, but I just made an order and the shipping was double what my order was. I looked at a couple different places and it was still worth the shipping cost. I would have paid more at my local used bookstore and my goodwill doesn't have books.

1218 I don't know what it is but when I find a book for cheap I can't say no....even if I have never heard of the book before

1218 Aths. I would not have gotten that good of a deal at my local used bookstore even after the shipping. My local store gives you half off so you figure each Harry Potter book is $15 at the cheepest and 2 of mine are hardbacks. So the books I ordered alone would have been 61.5 each and the dvd's I got were new and something we haven't been able to find anywhere else. The original Transformers and TMNT and Ernest Scared Stupid which is something that reminds him of his Grandma (she took him to go see it when he was a kid because his parents wouldn't)

1218 I know what you mean Aths. I have been going through a spell where I don't know what to do with all the books I have been reading and I need new one to fill my shelf now. I read 16 books last month. 13 the month before and 10 the month before that. I had a ton of books to read on my shelf and my husband told me I needed to stop buying books till I read the ones I had so I emptied my shelfs in the last 3 months and now he has to let me buy ones to refill them.

1218 Your welcome Edith. I just didn't like the way they made him seem. It changed his whole character in my eyes. I know no everyone thinks of it like that but it is just not what I picture him doing. I don't know maybe I am reading too much into it.
