3. Spring Cleaning: Follow these directions to find your book for this task...
Around The Way Girls 2

The best one out of all 5 IMO.

1218 Everyone must be off reading- the past few days there doesn't seem to be half as many posts as usual! :)
Apr 18, 2009 07:25PM

1218 I deleted all of those kind off my friends list and when they asked why or when they send a new request I politely explain myself to them. I just had to do it today as a matter of fact. :)

I might end up picking the same books as you are! LOL I have The Green Mile by Stephen King (I have a bunch of books by an authors one name and then none from any of the others!) and my major problem is finding a book I'll *like* from the other name.
I used to like King a lot though and I loved the movie for TGM so maybe I'll like a Bachman book too- I'm going to look at The Regulators now. Thanks!

Thanks- I'm not exactly looking for romance but I have a few Phillips books so maybe if I can find one of the others I'll be in good shape!

1218 Wow- these pen names are crazy- I'm looking at all these authors and even more names and getting so confused over here! LOL
Apr 16, 2009 11:26AM

1218 I can't name everyone because there are too many but thank you to everyone who gave ideas for the 50 point task! I have a couple choices now and I'm sure one will work. I had no idea so many authors used (multiple) pen names and I couldn't even think of one! Just something I don't think about or look into.
This really is interesting though- great job Sandy!
About holding back- I may have held back if I was in "danger" of being that far in the lead! I would have been anxious I wouldn't make that "good" of a task! LOL

1218 I don't mind at all- I actually just accepted it! :)
I think that message I have up is a bit of a deterrant with people go to add me but it's meant for spammers and friend collecters only so I'm glad you didn't pay any attention to that! LOL
Oh boy- I feel like taking an inpromptu trip to Kentucky now!
Gosh- I get all the authors here that I don't read. :( The only authors that have come here that I read (that I know of) are Laurie Halse Anderson (who I hadn't read at the time but have since and am glad I met her) and Dwayne S. Joseph (an urban fiction author and I ended up missing him anyway!).
Hopefully, when I if I do end up moving to Texas, being in a bigger state will help with this! :O

1218 Oh damn. That's just plain crazy Lori. How can they NOT know that most people don't like this? I've seen messages similiar to mind on other peoples pages and posts about it all over too (before I stopped going to other groups that is! LOL)
I'll definitely have to kee my eye on this thread though because this type of thing makes me just laugh so hard- I stayed up exhausted last night because I couldn't stop reading all of the posts from all you guys!
Thanks for explaining that about how they get deleted!
Apr 16, 2009 07:53AM

1218 Thanks Fiona! I thought I was going crazy there for a minute! :)
Apr 16, 2009 07:46AM

1218 Oh- I think it's MORE than fair Lori- I think it's absolutely HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!
But, where are the originals for most of them? Do you guys need to delete them or something? I looked a few and couldn't find what the spammer wrote- only what you guys responded to it.
I have a all caps message to those people on my profile page about them adding me. A few weeks ago I took a look at my comment section and everything was 'read my book' and 'thanks for the add- read my book please' and 'I think you'll like this book!" (when it's in a genre I NEVER read.
I can't stand them when they spam so shamelessly. It's more than just annoying to me.
I just saw the post in the nomination thread too! LMAO
Apr 16, 2009 07:40AM

1218 Hey Lori- where IS the poll section?! I tried to locate it last night and couldn't. I'm hoping the fact that I couldn't find it is due to how extremely tired I was and not a sign of intelligence. Or lack thereof. :)
Apr 15, 2009 09:53PM

1218 OH MY GOD. How did you get that comment here? I can't stop myself from laughing. You guys are finding these comments and putting them here to laugh at?
I'm SOOOO staying on this thread forever! LOL

1218 Hi Rebbie, I'm a librarian here on GR and I would read it and review it for you. I've done that/am doing it for some other authors too. Are you still looking for people?

You don't happen to be neat Delaware do you? LOL I LOVE Ellen Hopkins! Ask her if she's doing a third Kristina book for me! :) She told me she was and I haven't heard anything else! :( Crank and Glass are both awesome, Identical was pretty damn cool too.

I SO agree with you!

Apr 15, 2009 04:12PM

1218 I agree- like you said, there's no way to make everyone happy! I can't wait to hear what it is though!

Yup, that's exactly what I meant- I'd be afraid it wouldn't be "good enough"! The higher the points the "better" the task should to be it seems!

We should just start a confused group for only us confused people and take our confusing conversation elsewhere. That or go read! LOL
