I tell myself I'm not buying anything that's not on that list. I really need to just stop wasting my time with making the list because I always stray from it. Always.
I bought
for my sister-in-law and a book about the history of NFL football in Ohio (can't remember the name) for my husband.
I'm starting Slickrock A Gail McCarthy Mystery by Laura Crum. I really enjoy this series about Gail McCarthy, a female horse vet who solves mysteries.
I love If You Give A Mouse A Cookie! I recently found my copy from when I was a kid and added it to our upcoming little one's library. I've also seen If You Give a Moose a Muffin and, recently, If You Give a Pig a Pancake. Those look fun, too.My husband's cousin's little girl LOVES the David books. We've read them together many, many times.

I LOVE the Wayside Schoool books!
I found some time to kick back and relax this weekend so I made a pretty good dent in The House at Riverton. It's the kind of book that makes me want to curl up on the couch with a blanket, my dog and a cup of coffee to read in long stretches. I have trouble picking it up when I know I only have time to read a few pages.

I've read Bless Your Heart, Tramp And Other Southern Endearments and We're Just Like You, Only Prettier Confessions of a Tarnished Southern Belle and adored them both. I'm looking forward to reading her others.
I'm so glad I joined this group! It fulfills my bookish need while I'm stuck at work and can't actually be reading a book.
I listened to it on audio. I liked it, but I didn't love it. I doubt I would have stuck it out in print, though.I'd like to watch the movie when it comes out on DVD. I'm not in a big hurry to see it in the theater. Brendan Frasier is much younger than I pictured Mo to be in my head.
My friend and I attend a massive book sale every May and I usually go home with a trunk full. She and I made a pact this year that we wouldn't buy ANY books until the sale next year. I have hundreds at home on my shelf so I don't *need* any, but it's incredibly hard to stop myself.I have received a few parenting and children's books as gifts so those don't count. :)
I think I'll be reading Courage of Fear by Barbara Boyer after I finish The House at Riverton by Kate Morton. It's a GR giveaway win for me so I need to review it. Plus, I'm using it for Cynthia's fall challenge so I'll get some points there. :)
Jessica wrote: "I'm about halfway through Like Water for Chocolate and really liking it."I love this book and the movie!

I really enjoy Amy Tan's books and I hope you do, too! I think The Kitchen God's Wife is my favorite, but The Bonesetter's Daughter is also very good.
Diane wrote: "No, actually my partner does the cooking : ) I know, I am very lucky! The person below me is having a birthday this month! "
Me! Me! It's on the 15th. :)
The person below me likes to go camping.
Always. Always. Always. I don't venture past my front door without a book. I just never know when I'm going to have a few minutes to read.I tend to grossly over pack books when I travel. We're camping Fri-Mon over Labor Day weekend. I'm packing 3 generously sized books and 4 audio books. Better too many than not enough.
