Just finished some online shopping on BN.com with my gift card.I bought the following:
Ruth - Elizabeth Gaskell
The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins
Sarah's Key - Tatiana de Rosnay
The Elegance of the Hedgehog - Muriel Barbery
I Capture the Castle - Dodie Smith (I've already read this but I wanted my own copy :) )
April, I think that's the warehouse I've passed by quite a few times on my long drives to Syracuse and Rochester! Every single time I see it I get this giddy feeling, knowing so many books are in there! Congrats on the great deal! All I can say is Wow!I also got the 50% email from B&N. That and my gift card were burning a hole in my pocket so I went tonight and bought The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I know it's been getting a lot of good reviews around here and for $12.47 for a new hardcover, I couldn't pass it up!

I won a $200 B&N Gift Card from Sourcebooks over the weekend for their Georgette Heyer receipt promotion back in September, so guess where I went today? lol I was hoping I'd be able to control myself until around Christmas to use it, but oh well, I was craving a peppermint white chocolate mocha from the cafe so I couldn't help but spend just a little bit more :)I bought the following:
The Woman in White - Wilkie Collins
Outlander - Diana Gabaldon
Shutter Island - Dennis Lehane
American Gods - Neil Gaiman
I was in Rochester this past weekend and saw a Goodwill :) Here are my purchases from the store:The Red Tent - Anita Diamant
If You Could See Me Now - Cecelia Ahern
Pope Joan A Novel - Donna Woolfolk Cross
The Reader - Bernard Schlink
Toujours Provence - Peter Mayle
The Road to Paradise Island - Victoria Holt
Confessions of a Shopaholic - Sophie Kinsella
And while going to B&N Cafe for a peppermint white chocolate mocha tonight,
Push A Novel - Sapphire
Got the following today:March - Geraldine Brooks
Living on the Edge of the World New Jersey Writers Take On the Garden State - Irina Reyn
I really liked that feature. There have been a few books that I've loved recently that I wanted to share with others, but I wasn't willing to lend out my books for fear I won't get them back or if they do they'd come back beat up! Digitally lending it to them is much more convenient :)
I just got an email from B&N advertising their new Nook ebook reader. I will always prefer paper books, and I haven't really been attracted by the Kindles and others, but I'm really attracted to the Nook! Maybe I'll save enough to buy myself one for my birthday in April lol

What do you guys think?
The Strand! I'm going into the city on Monday, I just might make a short stop there. Haven't been in a couple years :) nice haul!
Forgot to post my latest splurge last weekend. I was in Lancaster, PA last weekend and found the Goodwill so I decided to go in. I only came out with 4 books, but I guess that's a good thing for my bookshelves lolI got the following:
The Inheritance of Loss - Kiran Desai
Ten Days in the Hills - Jane Smiley
Dolores Claiborne - Stephen King
The Devil in the White City Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America - Erik Larson
Tonight at Barnes & Noble I bought The Foundling by Georgette Heyer and Royal Affairs: A Lusty Romp Through the Extramarital Adventures That Rocked the British Monarchy by Leslie Carroll.I haven't bought anything from Barnes & Noble since around June, just huge piles of used books from the library, a friend, Goodwill, and Bookmooch, so it felt really nice to buy new clean books. I just love how they feel in my hands! lol
Sallie, I've read quite a few reviews on book blogs lately about Weight of Silence and they're all positive! I want to read it myself.
"I even have the new B&N software on my Blackberry"Oh what a convenient piece of info! I was planning on getting a Blackberry tomorrow lol
Most weekends of the month I'm usually out of state and I always bring at least one book that I'm currently reading. Though, I think I should invest in some audiobooks and actually give them a try because I do quite a lot of driving on these particular weekends.
Joanie, you learn more about what happens with the money in book 2. As for Wennestrom detail, I think I missed that part because I don't remember it. Wennestrom's hardly in the second book.
