I saw a couple of documentaries on the little girl. I am so sorry she didn't make it. She was such a cheery, out-there little one.
Catherine the Great, Empress of Russia and Diana, Princess of Wales. They both had a lot of sex!Which two songs are your faves right now?
Why would it make more sense to buy posters? If he's someone who likes the look of books why would he want posters? I can more understand someone who wants to decorate a place with (unread) books than I can someone who has endless china nick-nacks that just need dusting.

He sells them by the foot or yard the finer the binding the more expensive they ar..."Strand Books http://www.strandbooks.com/app/www/p/bbt... do this. Necessary interior decoration for films and plays. Optional for everyone else. I personally would rather see a wall of unread books as I am obviously there and it gives me something to peruse and because they represent possibility, rather than a wall of ornaments which represents more things to dust, but that's just my personal taste.
Before I had a bookshop, when I looked at the Strand Books books-by-the-foot page, I used to be tempted to buy 5' of bargain books just to have a surprise selection of books to read.

In my bookshop classics are not in with general fiction and the books with the 'trashy' covers, mostly urban fiction, is by itself, but only because it sells better that way.

I personally don't really like them because they date and impose on me someone else's vision of the characters which takes away a little from the experience of the book. However, they do serve several useful functions for a bookseller. One of them is that all authors, even the most famous ones, must do whatever they can to publicise their book, they have to sell a huge quantity to make any money. If there is a movie, and the book with that cover is on show, then whenever anyone sees it brings along the whole publicity of the film into their head and that helps sell the book.
If you head over to www.bookcloseouts.com, they have a very large range of manga at bargain prices. You can also get Shakespeare, Dickens, Austen, a lot of the classics in fact, as manga.
I've never heard of banned books week. Is that an American thing? The person below me has been to Paris, Rome, Madrid or London.
