Andrew-
I am a lead technical editor and I agree that deadlines play a huge role in editing. Mistakes can happen when you have a poorly written document with very little time to put into it.

1218 Finished Beautiful Boy (a father's memoir about his son's meth addiction), Downtown Owl (novel about a small town in North Dakota), and Go-Go Girls of the Apocalypse (novel in which I am sure the title speaks for itself). All good books.

I just started 99 Coffins by David Wellington (the sequel to 13 Bullets) - so far so good.
