1218 I just finished it, and I really loved it. :) I totally agree with what Jensownzoo said about it growing in complexity and pace as the book went on. I'm excited to hear what everyone else thinks of it.

1218 Nancy, Good luck with The Gargoyle! I really enjoyed it. :) I agree with April that it does really pick up once Marianne is introduced, and I think it just keeps getting better from there. I thought it came together beautifully at the end.

1218 Linda, Thanks, I will look into the audio, that sounds really neat! :)

I just finished The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill and it was absolutely incredible. The story is amazing and it is so well written. I would highly recommend it! It's a story that I think is going to stick with me for a long time. I think if you are in the States it was published as Someone Knows My Name.

1218 I am reading The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill right now. (I think in the States it was published as Someone Knows My Name). I actually started it a few months ago but put it down cause I was too busy with school work, and have just picked it up again. I was wondering if anyone else has read it? It is excellent so far!
