You know I just realized that she had two new series the one I just got cuaght up on and the Mercury Pack series. I am super excited to catch up.

I was also catching up with Laurann Dohner New Species series. Looks that one has ended. I kind of figured it would with all the madness with the publishing company. That kind of sucks but I also found out she has a new series called VLG. I think I will read those after I catch up with the Mercury Pack

Burn (Dark in You, #1) by Suzanne Wright Blaze (Dark in You, #2) by Suzanne Wright

I always enjoy books by Suzanne Wright and these did not let me know. I also like the fact that her books are affordable

Do you mean the altercation? If so I dunno I guess Nick has a point for being upset with Ash but then it just went too far. (view spoiler)

I am behind in this series. I got stuck with Styxx. It was just so much abuse, rape and torture so depressing. I think I was up to page 100 and it was just dreadful, Ash was painted as a jerk. Maybe I will skip this one lol.

12161 Good point I am not sure I have ever read this series as books are released. Normally I see them at the library and just pick it up.
It's a solid series though, like Darcy said the jokes can be a bit much. I think this next book ... cannot recall the title...Eleventh Grave In Midnight? Anyway that will be the second to last book. I wonder if she will do a spin off.

12161 Darynda JonesThe author of the month for September and October is Darynda Jones

Winner of the 2009 Golden Heart® for Best Paranormal Romance for her manuscript FIRST GRAVE ON THE RIGHT, Darynda was born spinning tales of dashing damsels and heroes in distress for any unfortunate soul who happened by, annoying man and beast alike. After the Golden Heart final, she pimped herself as best she could, landed an amazing agent and sold to St. Martin's Press in a three-book deal. Darynda lives in the Land of Enchantment, also known as New Mexico, with her husband of more than 25 years and two beautiful sons, aka the Mighty, Mighty Jones Boys. (Goodreads bio)

I really like it when authors recommend books that they actually read, not just as a favor to a friend."

Agreed that is always awesome

12161 I dunno Darcy, on one hand yep it had been 13 books but on the other a spinoff?

That is the part that seems odd. I do wonder if she will change the timeline. Like going into the future or the past.

I am conflicted lol

12161 This evening I was browsing a few blogs and I found out that Blade Bound (Chicagoland Vampires, #13) by Chloe Neill will be the last Ethan and Merit novel.

It appears the series is moving to a spin-off phase. Here is the blurb from publishers weekly

Neill Takes Spin-Off to NAL
In a six-figure deal, Chloe Neill sold two books in a new series to Jessica Wade at NAL. The books will be spun off the author’s bestselling Chicagoland Vampires series, which NAL also publishes and is concluding in April 2017, when book 13 in the line, Blade Bound, is published. The new series is set in the same world as Chicagoland Vampires, and the first book follows what happens when a brutal murder threatens the peace between humans and supernatural creatures. Lucienne Diver at the Knight Agency, who represented Neill, said this event makes way for a new heroine willing “to fight for her life, her people, and the city she loves.”

What do you all think?
I really cannot imagine it, the only reason why I read the series is because of Merit and Ethan.

12161 I got sucked into The Lady is a Vamp (Argeneau, #17) by Lynsay Sands last night. This is why I enjoyed the Argeneau series I am glad to being back to better books because The Reluctant Vampire (Argeneau, #15) by Lynsay Sands kinda sucked.
