My favorite, "The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch" is also the creepiest, in my opinion. By the end of that book you don't know what's real, or even what reality means anymore. Very disconcerting...
I liked Screamers. Heh. I know many people who hate it, but for the life of me I don't understand why.
Total Recall is a fun movie, but PKD would never have used somebody like Ah-nold as his protagonist.
I think the worst is probably Paycheck, but I'm an Affleck-hater so my opinion is highly biased...
I'm not sure about that, but...I find it interesting that PKD sort of predicted that eventually a lot of us would be getting our news from comedians.
I watch John Stewart's "The Daily Show" and also "The Colbert Report" because I cannot stand the regular news.
Weird.
I'm King Dinosaur. I got interested in PKD after reading about "The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch" in HORROR: Best 100 books. Yeah, "Horror"! I was immediately hooked. Of course, like many people, I actually first learned of him through Blade Runner, but it took a while longer before I actually read anything of his.
At this point, there are only two or three of his works that I haven't gotten around to. That will soon be rectified, I'm sure.
Since Craig mentioned it first, I think I'll pimp my band here. :) Hope ya don't mind. I'm currently playing in an "outlaw country" band (meaning, we can damn well do anything we please, like turning Motorhead and Iron Maiden songs into raging country black doom death...whoops got carried away. We're called Rodeo Kill. Check us out at:

My favorite PKD titles are: Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch; Confessions of a Crap Artist; Valis; Martian Time-Slip; A Scanner Darkly and, for some reason which I'm at a loss to give...The Cosmic Puppets.
I have read many of those. I'd have to say, I prefer his SF, but some were very good. After a few, though, they sort of start to blur together.Would "Confessions of a Crap Artist" go under the "mainstream" category? I really like that one, SF included.
