I LOVED these books... I didn't think I would because I don't like the idea of girls stealing their friends' fiances etc... but I thought these were really well done!
ok so I finished the book in the weekend... it was an easy read... I don't really know how I feel about it... I guess since there are so many of the books in the series they must be good, but I just don't know...
I knew she would get with Joe in the end though :)
What did you all think?
Do you think you'll read the other books?
so yeah... when is this book supposed to take place.... she's describing her outfits and I can't help but think that she looks tacky haha.... I don't know if this is one of my favorite books.... it's kinda entertaining but I love reading the real crime/murder mystery books and this is just unrealistic to me... what do you all think? How much do you want to bet they hook up in the end?
So I haven't read any other books by her but everyone says they are great... it seems a bit odd to me that she's taking a job as a bounty hunter though...I feel like it's a bit unbelievable... it's a nice easy read though
So im honestly not sure how i feel about this book... I FINALLY finished it this weekend. Although I did see the movie and kinda knew what to expect... I was still surprised at the book's ending... I don't know... I guess I didn't expect her to have sex with Gomez... and yes, I know that she only did it so that she could pretend he was Henry, but still...
Do you think she ever remarried or just stayed single and unhappy all the time. While I know it must be horrible to love someone so much and lose them, she had Alba to take care of... just for some reason, I keep picturing her as being depressed and unhappy for the rest of her life.
I did like all of the other details I learned through the book! What do you all think?
ok good! because I'm reading the book right now and I already saw the movie.... and I was definitely crying at the end but I still felt like the ending wasnt the greatest... so now i'm looking forward to finishing the book!!!
Dedication
What if your ex was famous and adored by millions? What would you do if you had one chance to make him regret his entire existence? How much would you risk? Kate Hollis's ex-boyfriend's face plasters newsstands and TV, the Internet, and the multiplex. Jake Sharpe is one of the biggest recording stars on the planet, and every song he's famous for is about Kate. For over a decade his soundtrack has chased her -- from the gym to the supermarket, from the dentist's office to the bars. Now thirty-year-old Kate gets the call that Jake has finally landed back in their Vermont hometown for an MTV special. The moment she has been waiting for has arrived. On the eve of their prom, Jake Sharpe vanished, resurfacing when his song "Losing" -- about his and Kate's first sexual experience -- shot to the top of the Billboard charts. And the hits kept coming, each more personal than the one before. Now Kate gets her chance to confront Jake and reclaim her past. But after eleven years of enduring protracted and far-from-private heartbreak, everyone in Kate's life has a stake in how this plays out. Kate must risk betraying the friends Jake abandoned, the bandmates whose songs he plundered, and her own parents, who fear this will dredge up a shared past more painful than any of them want to acknowledge. But after getting the call in the dead of night and jumping on a plane, can she turn back now?
The Pre-Nup
All you need is love? For the residents of swanky Mayfair Estates, a pre-nup is just another item on the wedding to-do checklist—but three friends get more than they bargained for when they promise to love, cherish . . . and sign on the dotted line. Ellie married her handsome, wealthy Prince Charming when she was young, naive, and willing to sign a one-sided pre-nup in the name of true love. But seven years and one toddler later, her happily-ever-after has come screeching to a halt. If she can’t save her marriage, she’s determined to save her divorce, and she’s not about to let a lot of legalese stand in her way. When Jen married Eric, he knew she wasn’t head over heels. Still, he insisted that they were perfect together and even bankrolled her blossoming business. But when Jen’s career finally takes off, she realizes that she may lose her husband. If Eric leaves, Jen will lose everything—including the marriage she values more than she thought. Up-and-coming attorney Mara is sure her fiancé has forgiven her for a foolish one-night fling—until he adds a “cheating clause” to the pre-nup she had demanded. If he really trusts her, why the clause? And if she’s really trustworthy, why is she objecting? As romance collides with real life, three very different women turn to each other for moral support and insights about how to safeguard their most valuable assets: their hearts.
