Finished A Game of Thrones. I thought about giving A Clash of Kings a shot, but I'll save that beast for later. Now on to Red Seas Under Red Skies.

How about A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. It's surprising that this book hasn't already been selected.

Lucky you. I've been wanting to read The Way of Shadows for quite some time. Enjoy it.
Currently reading The Eye of the World...I figured I may as well take a chance on this series seeing as how Sanderson is finishing it...
Oh, I absolutely loved this one! All the scheming and intrigue was what really appealed to me. Although they weren't exactly plotting to overthrow a government, it kind of reminded me of Mistborn in a way.
Hmm, I apologize. I had no idea he had joined GR. I guess I'll nominate it is a GR author read then.
The Way of Shadows by Brent Weeks - Assassin type fantasy, something I've never really read before but would like to give it a shot. Plus, I've heard good things about this book. Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson - Have already read this, but would really like to discuss it on here.
So, I've decided to give this another shot, seeing as how Sanderson is finishing the rest of the series. I tried reading the Eye of the World a few months ago, and didn't get into it too much...maybe 50 pages at the most. I have read a little fruther this time, and I'm still not impressed. Does it get any better as the story progresses, or will I still be bogged down by the slow pace? Is this series really worth investing so much time into?
Arthur,I too felt like Warbreak was unfinished. I'm not sure if there is going to be a sequel or not, but if there is I doubt it would be any time soon. He is pretty occupied at the moment with WoT, and he has a new series coming out sometime soon called the Way of Kings. Anyway, let me know what you think of the Mistborn trilogy, once you get the chance.
I just finished The Crown Conspiracy today, and I now I hope to get to Sabriel next. Not sure what else is in store for September. We'll see.
