10915 I'm hoping to get some of the books read that other authors have sent me. I just finished 'Briggen' by Ann B Keller, great book that I would recommend. Onto the next book.

10915 Hi from Tasmania Australia. I'm Christine and I thank JJ for inviting me to this group. I've been a fantasy sci/fi buff since an ankle biter, yet this was not through reading but television and movies. I only started reading books a few years ago, having spent a good part of my life illiterate. Writing my own novels taught me to read and write, but it has been a long journey from illiterate to author. I now spend most nights reading and yes, mainly fantasy Sci/fi. Other genres I read are by request from other authors.

I can't say I have a favorite author or book, I take it all as it comes, good, bad or different. My pet hate, when movies based on books are changed. The old saying, it wasn’t as good as the book is warranted in most cases. My daughter is a Harry Potter fan and although she enjoys the movies, she will tell me what they missed out in the book, why it was so important and feels as I do, don’t mess with the story line or their characters.

I make a lousy reviewer, as I think all writing is special in its own right and pat any author on the back for giving it a go and pouring their heart and soul into their creation.
What suits me may not suit another’s taste. At the moment I’m reading Briggen by Ann B Keller, it has been slow going as I’m reading other books at the same time. What I have read so far is great, plenty of characters and description, even a touch of humor. I will fill you in more when I have finished it.

Thanks again JJ for the invite, I hope to get to know you all better.
Hugs and Blessings CJ

P.S Peter’s comment made me laugh - The rest of you out there should speak up and introduce yourselves; stop lurking in the shadows like Gollum under the mountain.
I love Gollum and pictured all these readers, looking like Gollum, edging their way out of the corners of the group. May be some one should tell them - ‘WE DON’T BITE’ and if we do, YOU CAN BITE BACK.

P.SS Warning, I have a weird sense of humor and can find a laugh in anything, no offence meant.
