10915 I have done really poor according to my challenge. My goal was to read 50 books this year, but I've only read 27. I started college this year and I used to read everyday during class in high school, so now it's getting harder, but looking at the books I've read this year it has been a good year.

I read my absolutely favorite book of all time this year which was Howl's Moving Castle. I also started ASOIAF which has been really good thus far. I also read my first adult classic without it being assigned to me Farenheit 451 which was really good.

I think the biggest surprise this year for me was The Book of Lost Things. It was really great even though it was kind of weird. Overall I've liked what I've read this year, and hope to do the same next year.

10915 It's world wide that books are banned. A few years ago I learned Alice in Wonderland was once banned in China because it had talking animals so ridiculous.
10915 Oh well that's great because that's exactly where I'm at, so hopefully it will get better!

Honestly the first couple of chapters I thought were good, and I had high hopes for the books because I really did like it. Now that I'm about 100 pages in though I do feel like I am slogging as well. :/
10915 I ordered it from the library and it is on its way! This will be the first Brandon Sanderson book I've ever read... so I hope it's a good one.
10915 I'm going to get right to reading this as soon as it comes into my library. I'm looking forward to it because everyone is saying pretty good things about it.

10915 Vampire Academy is like that. Dmitri is Rose's fighting mentor and kicks her butt almost constantly, and yet they fall in love during their fights.

10915 Hello! I've been creeping for awhile and I kind of like what I see, so I figure I better introduce myself before I start joining in on conversations. I live in Georgia (not the like Eurasian one, but like the one in the US). I started reading about 2 years ago, and since I was in high school I read a lot of YA. One day I decided young adult was just really boring, and that since I was in college that it was time to move up on the reading scale, and thus far fantasy has been my favorite adult genre. Honestly I haven't read many authors, but I did like Dianna Wynn Jones and now I'm reading George R R Martin. Other than at I was hoping y'all could help me out and point me in the right direction.
