Have 2 to add......number 5 The Firm, number 6 the pelican Brief, both by John Grisham, I had a little thriller-athon to get me through a bit of flu!
I have finished number 4: A Damsel in Distress by PG Wodehouse and am readin 3 books simultainiously at the moment, so making a lot better progress now!
I have now finished my 3rd book, Three Men In A Boat, and am still reading Titus Groan, although as it is quite heavy in description (although very very good) I am making rather slow progress on it!
I do indeed...My Dad loves them and he gave them to me for Christmas, so I imagine he will be expecting a full review from me next time I see him!
Right...finished The Comfort of Strangers, so thats 2 down!Am now reading Titus Groan, but that's a bit of a chunky one, so have a feeling its going to take a while (although I have a coupe of days off work next week, so that'll help!)
I have now finished On the Road....so that's 1! I am half way through The Comfort of Strangers, so hopefully will polish that off today and can get on with number 3!
I agree...I derfinately should it took me about 6 weeks to read! I have Vanity Fair on my book shelf, but thats a pretty long one to tackle as well!
Am reading On The Road at the moment, which by amazing cooincidence I started on the 1st Jan as I happened to finish my previous book the night before, so that has set me up well to get going...Although I am going to need to speed up a bit if Im ever to get to 75 books by December 31st!
I do a bit of both....when I know what I want I will go online where its cheaper, but there are some really good second hand books stores near my house, so I go to those alot, and they often have deals or 3 for 2s....although Borders do a good line in 3 for 2s as well where I get alot of my books that I have been meaning to read for a while or ones Im not too sure about!
And as with Nan, my mum keeps me stocked with books she has finished with as well!
I have never counted how many books I read in a year, and I think I would be very interested to know how many I actually do read! I do read an awful lot, but they vary in greatness, and so speed. Last year I read Anna Karenina which took me 2 months, so that cut out alot of time for other reading!
I would definately like to reach 100, but think 75-80 might be more realistic!
I never manage to read holiday books at the right time....By the time I find them under my ever increasing pile of to read books near my bed it tends to be July.....That said I would like to try this year, so if anyone knows of anything good I would be greatful for any hints!
