I don't know how many of his I've read and actually understood. His strength is in novella's and novels.

It's also the condition of D from Vampire Hunter D, Dracula was his dad, some regular human woman for a mother.
Marge wrote: "It is difficult to hide the fact that I love horror novels. People ask me what my hobbies are and I tell them quilting, reading and my dog. They ask me what types of books I like and I say, "Book..."Dune is a great series, are the ones written by KJA and his son any good? I've not read any of them.
Rachel wrote: "reading Hellbound Hearts, so far on the second story and the collections only 50/50 with me so far."which ones have you liked? I've got it sitting on my shelf and their are a few authors that I love that have stories in them.
Marisella wrote: "Am reading "Divine Misdemeanors" by LKH, then have "be afraid, tales of horror" by edo van belkom. Also just got a book of short stories by Robert E Howard. very good!"Robert E Howard is good stuff... good old pulp.
for sure, and maybe it's because I'm a big Campbell and Evil Dead fan, it seemed to me to much like Evil Dead, with a slightly different story. Nothing wrong with that mind you, but it's not what I was expecting or hoping for. And no, NO ONE can out class Bruce Campbell in B movies.
The manga is quite amazing as well, I read it a couple of years back and I'm glad to have added it to my collection. Another favorite is Ghost in the Shell.
It's definitely not for every Scott, but like most anime series, it doesn't really dive into the meat/bones of the series until after the half way point. It will always rank up their on my favorite anime list, right under Akira.
Lori wrote: " I liked this movie just fine. It had that Evil dead feel about it. Some scenes were predictable but it was still very good."I thought it was trying to much to be a classy Evil Dead. It was entertaining for a watch one but most likely will never see again kind of thing... at least for me anyway.
Scott,Miyazaki is an amazing filmmaker, he was also a assistant director in one of the greatest anime series I've ever seen, Neon Genesis: Evangelion. If anyone hasn't seen any of his material do yourself a favor and check some of his stuff out.

I emanate nerd and have more Star Wars memorabilia than George Lucas (not really). I'm an old school cartoon and arcade fanatic as well and generally the first impression people get from me isn't one a love of horror. Bust most friends that know me already know I'm a book whore and have a curiosity for darker material.
I've wrapped mine and will send it out tomorrow, I'll probably wait unit Christmas to open mine. Luckily I'll be too busy at work to think about it.
No problem, just want to make sure if people enjoy the Books of Blood, that they can read the rest, just under different titles, in the US. Some really good ones are in the latter set of books.Honestly I didn't know about V4-6 until I started collection all of Barkers novels in 1st/1st/HC format. It's then I discovered that little nugget.
Yeah, Cabal isn't apart of the series, probably both to coincide with the film as well as bulk up the book, otherwise, Cabal as a Book of Blood would have been small without it.And to seal the deal, from Clive Barkers website in regard to US versions of Cabal.
Note 1 : All US versions (with the exception of the typed manuscript proofs) contain Books of Blood 6 in addition to Cabal.
*edit*
He's also had sequels to Cabal planned, but have never materialized in any form yet [was discussed as book or possible comic:]. It's still listed, along with Art III, as possible sequels that he might get to.
Scott you are correct, technically [according to Clive:] Books of Blood v 1-3, along with In The Flesh, The Inhuman Condition and Cabal (minus the actual story Cabal) are short stories in the Books of Blood series. UK got them as Vol 1-6, The US got the stated above releases.I can confirm this as I have a 1st/1st HC UK copy of the complete Books of Blood v1-6 Omnibus, I compared it to my paperback copies of Books of Blood 1-3 Omnibus, In The Flesh, Inhuman Condition & Cabal. They are exactly the same minus the Cabal story.
Rumor has it he might be releasing previously unreleased or newly polished material to add to the Books of Blood, stories that were originally supposed to be included or were excluded for one reason or another.
Chris wrote: "Again...highly recommend his novella collection, Cabal...his best, I think! "which is actually books of blood v4-6 (In The Flesh, The Inhuman Condition & Cabal)
Kristy wrote: "As a second fav, Twat. Mostly because it makes me laugh. I'm a fan of calling people this one."Love this word too. Probably cause I can text the word in chat in an online game with my buddies and it doesn't censor it, and it's funny!
