I found The Rising and City of the Dead by Brian Keene!! I was so ecstatic to find these! Now I just have to find Dead Sea.
Hi Everybody, weird question..... I was wondering if you think that Battle Royale "could" be considered a horror novel? I know that you find it in Science Fiction but with all that gore.... What do you think? I really believe some books blur the line between certain genre's. At that point I think that it could be up to the reader and how it makes them feel.
I always thought that The Strain Trilogy would be an Amazing TV Series!! I love Guillermo Del Toro and pretty much everything he does! At first I was hoping that he would turn it into a movie trilogy but after thinking about it I think there is A LOT more he could do if it was a TV Series.
I love Maberry's books so much that every time I get into a discussion with anybody about books, I tell they have got to check out his books. Hahaha even to people that work at the book stores! But its always hard for me on which book or series of his to recommend first.... which one would you recommend to a person, new to Maberry, to read first?
This is a great topic!! I have to agree, Descent scared the S%*T out of me!! I know what some of you will probably say but 28 Days and Weeks scared the crap out of me too and gave me nightmares:>)The Strangers is very creepy too. I was also pretty freaked out while watching Vacancy, really creepy when they saw the room that they were staying in on tape! Some other creepy movies too are 30 Days of Night, What Lies Beneath, The Shining, Wolf Creek, Pet Sematary, Alien, Aliens and the Original Halloween!!!
Those stories are crazy!!! I cannot believe some of your experiences!! Keep them coming!
Was just wondering who here really believes in Ghosts and if you have had any real life Ghost stories to tell?!?! I personally do believe in Ghosts. Can't wait to hear from everyone!

That was my first ever Dean Koontz book and it blew my mind!! I had never read anything like it! I knew then that I had to get my hands on every Dean Koontz book.

HAHAHAHA Ken!!! Something you've thought about doing:>)?!?!
Death by hammering a nail up your nose.
I really enjoyed Frostbite:A Werewolf Tale by David Wellington! I have the second one, Overwinter: A Werewolf Tale, also but haven't had a chance to read it yet but I am looking forward to it!

WOW! That is a big statement! If I may ask.... what makes you say that? What makes it so good?
1. Hahaha Christmas Music, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, KoRn.
2. The Passage by Justin Cronin
3. Violin! I played for over 10 years!
1. Favorite Animal in the whole world?
2. Favorite Movie, TV Show and Book? (sorry... kind of made a 3 part question :>)
3. Favorite concert ever?
Hi Everyone! Hope Everybody is having a great weekend! Someone at work told me about this book by Robert McCammon called Swan Song and said it was Amazing!! I have heard that its also scary but then someone else says its not.... Let me know if you have read this and what you think? Thanks!
Alondra wrote: "I think he could pull off the movies. With todays technology and his twisted brain; yeah. I do picture the vamps from I am Legend in it when I read the books. Not sure about the main characters... ..."
YEA! I agree with you. I think Del Toro would make the Vamps like the ones he made in Blade 2. Who do you think would play a good Fet?? That's a hard one for me to picture.... A good Nora might be Eva Mendez, what do you think?
Hi Everybody! Happy Holidays! I just finished The Strain Trilogy and I personally LOVED IT!!! So sad that its over though. Was thinking about if it would be a good idea if Del Toro should design a movie Trilogy out of it or maybe a TV series??? Undecided on this idea. What do you think? While I would love for those characters to come to life, I would at the same time be worried that they pick somebody that doesn't match the person I picture in my head. Hmmmmm......
It's so crazy cause whenever I bring up Zombie books to anyone they tell me I HAVE to read Brian Keene. I have gone to countless bookstores Used and New and they never seem to have any of his books!! So today... Finally I found my first one. I found Ghost Walk. Has anybody read that one? And what do you think of it compared to his other ones?
Actually I did buy it at B&N like 3 years ago and I just "happened" to find it in a box I packed it away in awhile ago. I had forgotten about it and when I found it tonight, I remembered it and I wanted to see if anybody else has read it considering its not very well known! And I didn't know what "GR" meant because I am fairly new to Goodreads and sorry I don't know the damn lingo. There is no reason to be rude about things that you have no damn clue about! Obviously your "Red Flags" are wrong.
