108 Thank you Ania. It enriches a reader's experiences to know the author's mindset.

108 I already booked my room for World Horror Con. I was afraid of the heat too, but actually...it was okay! (I hate the heat.)

108 ps - I didn't mean "horrific" in a bad way! I'm a horror lover after all!

108 It flowed and it worked. You succeeded in raising tension (and my pulse rate). I attended a panel where the author said you should not write with a censor on your shoulder any more than you should write with an inner critic on your shoulder.

I have to tell you, I was on vacation in NOLA while reading it & there were times when my friend was waiting for me to put down the book so we could go out. It was that engrossing!

Jack's memory of the cat scene. It *was* upsetting, but you really didn't see anything. The scene raised my emotion but it didn't turn out as scary/upsetting as I anticipated.

108 Hi everyone,

I posted a review on my blog about Seed. http://www.midnytereader.com/2012/08/...

I want to thank this group again for giving me the impetus to read a book I may have overlooked. I also really liked everyone's comments and I enjoyed reading Ania's thoughts as well.

108 I started and finished Seed in NOLA this past week and really enjoyed it. I thought the creepy parts were very well done!

I feel the same way when I go to Louisiana. I was able to get Seed from BEA. Now I just have to find it among my piles!

108 Ironically, I just did an author interview with Michaelbrent on my blog.
108 I just put a post on my book blog. http://www.midnytereader.com/2012/05/... I want to thank this group because I never would have even heard of this book without the suggestion.
108 Tressa wrote: "Roy is very naive and believes literally in some Bible passages."

Yes, my apologies. Naive is a much better description than stupid.

I can definitely see that pov. It was more like he was just stupid!

I understand why this reminded you of CM...just such dark, gritty writing.
108 I just got my book today! Will start reading!
108 I hope to be able to participate this time. I just ordered the book.
