The timing on this is so funny, since my last three books have had me crying at some point.
The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom
Love Walked In by Marisa de los Santos
Phantom limb by Theresa Kishkan
At this point I'm wondering if it's me or the books.
I loved The Secret Life of Bees. It's not one I normally would have picked up, but I read it for a group I'm in and was very glad I did.
I love to read but rarely buy books, used or new. I tend to only read them once, so it just makes so much more sense to use the library if at all possible. And ILL makes it easy to find what I want.
Currently reading Tales of H. P. Lovecraft.
These are some of the series I'm reading.
The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher
Nevada's Barr's Anna Pigeon series
Arcane Society novels by Jayne Ann Krentz/Amanda Quick
Sebastian St. Cyr mysteries by C. S. Harris
Patricia Briggs Mercedes Thompson series
I just finished Dangerous Tides by Christine Feehan. I enjoy a quick, suspenseful, sexy romance once in a while.
I, too, wish I had read Jane Eyre. I felt like I missed something.
I could have done without the dead sister's visit, too. I guess it showed that Margaret had reached some kind of closure, but it didn't have the same tone as the rest of the book.
