Receiving error message:"1 Error prevented this book from being saved:
There were problems with the following fields:
* Publication year must be equal to or after the original publication year"
Looks like even if the dates are equal, the system is rejecting. Yikes!
Settings are not saving. So far, characters are working good, though. :-) When I input setting info and save, it does not appear. When I go back into the edit mode to view the setting, it is no longer there. :-(

Interesting thoughts and I see where you are coming from, but I like it the way it is. Monitoring people's activity, visits and whatnot gives me the shivers and I think of the proverbial Big Brother effect. I've left groups--that I was active in--for sending out nuisance group emails. For me, this Site is for fun and if I'm forced to post X number of comments or read X number of posts on someone else's required schedule=NOT FUN. Sorry.
Along this same line, there is a group that requires a questionnaire to be completed and a review will then be decided whether a person can join. Further, they require what I mentioned above.
Well, to each their own, but that's not for me. As previously mentioned, using the members-number of comments is a fairly good indicator who is active and not. I figure if people aren't commenting, they more than likely aren't viewing, either. Moderators could delete members based on that information; although, I think it would be tacky.
If it is enacted, I, too, would like the option to opt-out. Sorry.
That sounds like an excellent idea, Otis. I don't read professional reviews and it has concerned me that they are starting to clutter things up and Going to be hard to peel off the Site, though not impossible. Like barnacles, they'll keep coming back.
I'm up for the challenge!
Yeah, you're right. Why bother trying something when it may be too late and people may not see it and while were on the possible list of maybe's the Internet could go down tomorrow, Global Warming may hit earlier than predicted and there may be more people who don't really care anyway. So, yeah. Quit now. Why bother. Works for me.
Here's another example that I added yesterday."Binding Vows" to Time-Travel Romance
Thank you, in advance, for looking into this. :-)
Adding books to groups seems to work fine on the group side, but when looking at the book, it doesn't show as being in a particular group.
Here's an example. "Hidden Fire" to Romantic Suspense.
Love the idea of the polls for most popular books read, but I have a question that I hope doesn't stir up a hornet's nest.
Why isn't there a poll for romance books?
Me again. :-(
I would be thrilled to be able to edit author roles for the additional authors while in edit mode. As it is now, have to delete and re-enter author data to correct "reader," "illustrator," "narrator," etc for additional author roles. We can, however, edit the main author role.
What do you think?
Noticed that Barnes and Noble doesn't tend to use "narrator." They like "reader." (sigh) Thoughts on this? Do we change or should we succumb to accepting "reader" and "narrator" interchangeably?
Appreciate you looking into this, Otis. Still not showing up--days after I input character names. Just added more characters and settings and sometimes the settings shows up instantly, but not always. Zero on characters, though.
I don't get email notifications for a group that I have set to get EVERYTHING that is posted, either. Worked with the settings and for whatever reason, that ONE group is a no go for me. Other's no problem, just that one.
