1 Must have been a temporary glitch. Seems to be working this morning.

1 Otis, it is clear to me that you put alot of thought into your selection and acceptance criteria.

I firmly believe that pre-paid reviews are a recipe for disaster! Nothing good can come from them; nothing honest and objective, anyway.

I enjoy seeing authors and publishers creating reviews on their own work... It's refreshing and sometimes even quite humorous. You know we goodreadians are not going to base our purchase solely off the reviews of those who are relying on selling it to make money! The don't try to hide behind anything, it's quite clear who they are.

I would like to thank you as well, for doing a fabulous job for your continued improvements here. Keep up the great work!

1 Hey.. alright! More supporters. I am still wishing and hoping for this!

Otis, any chance we can persuade you to move it up the task list chain?

1 Hi there!

I am trying to add two books to my groups bookshelf. When I click on the 'add to group' button, nothing is happening. If I click to view the book, it takes me there. It just isn't adding.

Anyone else experiencing this?

1 I tend to review on two things, the meat of the plot and my feelings/reflections as I read the book.

I dont just resummarize the plot - I might inform readers that this is typical of an authors work (McCarthy + Saramago seem to be questioned alot as to consistency of style). I might talk about my first experience with reading the author. I might discuss a period in my life where I could relate to the subject matter witin the book.

It all depends on my mood. I try not to ever spoil. But that is just me.

The one thing I like about goodreads is the diversity of reviews....

1 I have to weigh in here as well. Moderators having control of other people's posts by editing breaks all trust within a group. No one would post a thing for fear of it being tampered with.

I think the option to delete posts is quite enough. Moderators can also PM a member if their message is offensive or unclear and ask that they go back and edit it themselves....

This is just something that can only cause trouble in my opinion.

1 As far as photos, you are only allowed a maximum of 5.

I know in order for someone to be a moderator, they have to have a verifable email address... perhaps you need to check that out?

1 I entered my rules. Is there a way for a moderator to view how it appears? I am just curious to see it in action.....

Thank you, and hopefully this will help raise more awareness!

1 Wow. I created something like this within my large group - TNBBC- to support some members who were posting willy nilly around the group that they were trying to get rid of books.

Great idea! Hope it gets alot of attention, such a great addition to the site!

1 Im having them now. I cannot send messages to someone that is not a friend at this moment....
1 Fiona, we have (ahem) 5300 members. ☺
But I agree with you. Where else can you get people from all over the world together in such a wonderful enviorment to talk books non-stop, every minute of every hour or every day?????

1 Otis, Im on www.goodreads.com and if I hit the back button in a group that requires my password, it is kicking me out, asking me to log back in and then shooting me over the home page.

It's been like this all day and has been frustrating to say the least. I know you and your crew are working your magic behind the scenes to fix this, and I thank you in advance!!!

1 Ive had quite a few run ins with this guy! He is ruthless and inappropriate at times too.

SBG, if he gets booted, he seems to just create a new profile and come back again and again, and unfortunately I dont think GR can do anything to stop him. They can only boot him again when he gets out of line.

What a shame too. The guy just doesnt get a hint!
