1 Unfortunately I'll have to bring the site down for at least an hour tonight to clean up some of our data. I expect to start this between, 9 and 11 pm and hope it to take an hour (but it could go longer).

I'm going to be normalizing some data to make the site slightly faster, and save on storage space.
1 Sorry It took us forever to look into this, but I can't recreate this bug. Have you noticed it again?
1 Hmmmm, i thought this was fixed, but is apparently still broken for others (including boss man). I'll try and get this working ASAP.

1 I'm going to take the site down temporarily tonight to do some maintenance. Probably around 9pm tonight, for hopefully less than 15 minutes.

1 I think i rigged the wrong edition in there, but it should be marked as shipped. I hope Jac won't get too confused.

1 I'm guessing one of the books you'd recently added was removed from our database.
Aug 17, 2011 02:46PM

1 I JUST looked into that, can you check on it again?
Aug 17, 2011 02:27PM

1 Sorry for taking so long, should be fixed now.

I'm pretty focused on just preventing 502's/503's slowness, and making sure search works at the moment.

1 Just wanted to let you guys know we're aware the site hasn't been particularly stable lately, and we're doing our best to improve that.

We've added roughly $20,000 in hardware in the last week or so, but at the same time, we're also handling a huge influx of new users.

We've got a lot of optimizations we're launching and working on, and we're dedicated to keeping the goodreads experience awesome.

1 I think i found that case, they should be removed after the next release.

1 Can you screenshot anywhere where it isn't happening and it should be?

1 We underline links in comments. It's not really an override, thats the way CSS works.
Aug 02, 2011 11:01PM

1 Tell me about it :)
