93863 Ginny smiled at him appreciatively, then patted Drake's cheek. "Thanks, Drake," she said, then shifted her legs underneath her.

Austin grinned wider and he laughed a little. "I really hope we at least tie, if we don't get first," he said, wishing they at least wouldn't get last. First would be surburb though.

93863 Ginny shrugged, but it still hurt like her foot that time a horse stomped on it. Dumb cotton filled ears! "I hope so. I just really want it to go away before the winner gets announced," she said, really glad that he was starting to clue in.

Austin did a little happy dance and jumped like how that one guy did in "The Breakfast Club."
"Well? We did MUCH better than 'well.' We went 'splendiferously!'" he exclaimed.
May 16, 2013 05:17PM

93863 Ginny gave him a look and raised her left eyebrow at him. "Drake. If I was deaf, how would I be able to hear you?" she asked him, shaking her head a little. She still felt like her ears were full of cotton.

Austin set down his guitar and gave Spencer a big tight hug, lifting her far off the ground and grinning wildly at her when he sat her down. "I can't believe we just did that! We totally rocked!" he exclaimed excitedly.

93863 Ginny shook her head a little. "How could you not?" she asked, slightly surprised. He seemed like the person who would know about that feeling the must; she should stop assuming things. She was often wrong more than she was right. "I'm fine. Just ... disoreinated, I guess."

Austin walked off the stage with Spencer, almost jumping up and down with giddyness. He was so gittery after that, he was almost reduced to twitching but he risisted. People would say he was having a seizure and he didn't need that right now.

93863 "I have that feeling when you've had your headphone's in for hours with loud music on," Ginny said, her eyes still aching. "But like ten times worse." She rubbed her eyes and pressed her palms into the sockets, wishing this pain would go away. Maybe she shoud try t rest.

Austin grinned wildly out at the crowd and gave his signiture head jerk, meaning Yeah, that just happened. He lifted the guitar over his head, like it was a victory item. He had made a habit of doing dumb things in front of crowds after years of spending time with his best friend Marcus, who had a reputation for doing that in assemblies.

93863 "Drake? I think I'm deaf," Ginny said, almost obnoxiously loud, and blinked her eyes hard to ignore the ache behind them. Vibrations in her head made it hard for her to keep her eyes open for a long time. This was one of the cons to being a drummer.

Austin, who'd almost completely lost himself in the sound, had finally zoned back into everything and he followed Spencer's lead, whose voice he'd learned to keep the beat to which worked almost all the time. He wasn't a bit worried about the judges seeing his mistake, but he wasn't anticipating that mistake.

93863 (( :D ))

Ginny grinned wickedly, feeling like she could get hit by a bus and nothing would make her happier. Her face felt unnaturally hot and her voice horridly sore, but it was nothing compared to the ringing in her head. The yells... the screams.. her and Drake' voice... It all made her head buzz. They finally did it.

OH MY GOSH I LEFT MY PHONE IN THE CAR! Austin thought absently, remembering that he left his LG in the car. Dang it. Faintly, he felt his fingers sliding across the strings, but he wasn't in tuned to it. He played better when he was preoccupied, he'd learned, and kept himself calm with the thoughts of what might happen afterwords.

93863 ((Sorry!!! I've had to tutor some people this week and have been gardening all this week. -_-))

Ginny took a long drink of her lemon tea and then grinned after sitting down beside her, placing her fist toward Drake for a fist-bump. She thought they did amazing, but she was partially deaf in one ear so that might be why she thought that.

Austin's fingers flew on the strings, the urge to go ham on it almost overwhelming him; maybe that was his OCD or his ADHD but he doubted it. He thought he was about to get cold chills and start to twitch, but he tried to keep calm and it actually worked. . . for once. He concentrated on his fingers and Spencer, keeping in tune with both of them.

93863 "WHERE THE HE--," Ginny began to yell, then quickly lowered her voice. "Nevermind, I found it." She was looking for her water bottle of lemon tea, because her throat was seriously about to kill her. She sat down with her back against the wall as she drank. Her stomach churned with fading nervousness, but knotted up at the thought of how she looked. She probably looked so nervous on stage and she was revolted.

Austin grinned at her as he tuned his guitar slightly, which he'd somewhat forgotten to do back stage. He nodded to her and the others encouragingly and took a deep breath when he scanned the stage for his sister, who promised she go. She was, sad as it is to admit, his main source of inspiration. Without her, he probably wouldn't even be doing this.

93863 ((Okey dokey.))

Ginny smiled at the crowd briefly then quickly stood and ran off stage, her heart beating a million miles per hour. She really needed something to drink. Especially if that drink was lemon tea.

Austin grinned, patting her head and leisurely taking the glass from her. "Now I believe it's our turn," he said, watching as the girl from onstage ran back past them.

93863 ((I kinda wanna skip through the song. :\ How bout you?))

Austin nodded in agreement. "Same. I hope it doesn't either," he said. "Just drink water." That was his solution to everything. And Poptarts, but that was different.

93863 Ginny smiled smally at him and continued with the song. "Take away my broken heart, strip away the pain and hurt. But just to let you know: I never thought you'd sink that low." Gratefully, Drake was always there tto help her out. Somehow, that helped. A lot.

"Like if we got shot at? Yeah, that would be very bad," Austin agreed even though he knew full well what she meant. It would be bad if they got shot though. Competition seemed rougher than the years before but he thouht he and Spencer had a really fair chance.

93863 Horribly enough, Ginny's voice had started to crack and she looked over at Drake nervously; hopefully, it would stop. "Treason has became a friend," she sang, her voice cracking just slightly at the end. She shouldn't have passed up that water earlier. "Marking our faithless end. I've never felt like this before; never have I felt so secure."
((That's why I don't write poetry that often.))

Austin shrugged nonchalantly, his smile faltering for just a second. He was a little worried how the lyrics had turned out, mostly because creative writing was one of the classes he didn't pass in high school. And he passed algebra, so that was saying something. "No problem, Spencer," he said. "I just hope it doesn't suck. No offense," he added, referring to the parts he didn't help on.

93863 Ginny took a short breath before she started to sing again. "You can't do more than what is done," she sang, her voice much more stronger and louder. She looked over at Drake and the guitarist, smiling slightly before she continued, her confidence building significantly. She felt so powerful, so in control. . . but also ready to fail at any moment. "You refused to admit I was the one. I slipped awaaaay." She carried the last note and her drumsticks flew.

Austin shook his head/ "Of course not! Not even a little bit," he said, which was a small little lie because he was pretty anxious. He was glad that there was other horrible people there, because he was starting to calm down; surely they were better than these people.

93863 Virginia sat at her little stool, her feet keeping beat as soon as she felt comfortable enough to play. Great; now she had to vocalize too. Wonderful. She steadily keeppt a beat and as the guitars and piano droned in, she started to feel much more calm. Serene. Tranquil. She kept time in her head and in her feet, her hands expertly moving on the drums. She didn't falter once, even when she leaned in for the microphone. "My heart is a room with dark pictures on the walls," she sang slowly, her voice a bit shaky at first but gaining. She hadn't practiced this part very well; vocals weren't her thing. But she'd sang enough in the shower to at least be moderatly good. "I feel like I've stumbled in a pit of nothingness when darkness touched skin. . ."

Austin nodded his head, that grin still plasted on his face. Soon, he started to hear the band play but kep his eyes on Spencer to try and distract her from the sound of them. "So, Spence. You nervous?" he asked casually, his voice low so that only she could hear him. He was glad she wasn't flipping out; he remembered when he flipped out when he first got a gig. Fall Back was just starting but hey; he thought they were amazing. But now, they were much better.

93863 Ginny smiled nervously back at Drake and looked back out the curtain, then nearly screamed as she got the signal from the lead singer and she grabbed Drake's hand. She didn't know why, but she felt obliged to drag him out on the stage even though he looked like he didn't honestly need to be dragged out. Though she didn't stumble, she felt the biggest dummy on the planet. But at the moment, she wasn't focused on that; she was focused on the drumset staring at her. The one that could make or break her. I mean, being a high school drop-out was bad enough but that set could change her. Both of them.

Austin glanced back over at Spencer and nudged her in the ribs with his elbow, trying to get her to lighen up. She looked stiff as a board and he wanted her to at least slouch a little like he was. He let out a playful grin, the one that he used when he was teasing his friends. Hopefully, he could get her to act like they were just practicing, to let her stress ease away. But suspense was a horrible thing, especially when this could intimidate the heck out of a person. Especially Dekes.

93863 Virginia Sky Locks glanced out at the crowd with growing panic, anxiety eating at her stomach as she gripped her drumsticks until her knuckles turned white. She tried taking deep breaths but that only made her more anxious. The dread of going on stage was making her palms sweat and she instantly started to worry: What if she let one of the sticks fly otu of her hands? What if she misses a few notes? What if she falls and a quadracorn flew out of no where and killed her and Drake? That last one was a long shot, but in Ginny's mind it was a possibility. She closed her eyes and tried to picture her basement in Alabama, where her dream of being a drummer began and that image alone helped her heart slow.

Austin stood backstage with Spencer, his guitar gripped in his hand and he glanced over at her in pure calmness. He felt pretty confident about this show, his overpowering serenity almost contagious to those around him. Or so he supposed, since he knew that wasn't a real possiblity. He wasn't Jasper from Twilight. He felt sweat bead on his forehead, mostly from all the body heat radiating, but other than that he looked and felt completely normal, which he hoped was a good impact on Spence. He didn't need her to be nervous too.

((My reply will be a little off... Got chores. :| Merp.))
May 07, 2013 05:37PM

93863 Yeah, sure, I can. :3
May 07, 2013 05:30PM

93863 Yeah, sure, that'll work. Do you wanna start or me?
May 07, 2013 05:28PM

93863 Ooh... He's cute. :3 But yay! I like both of them.

So, how should we start this?
