[close] Pageturners was started in January 2008 in Mandeville, Louisiana. We are a dynamic and fun group of women brought together by our love of reading. We meet once a month in a member's home on a rotating basis. Another member moderates the discussion and approximately once a year we are fortunate enough to have the author of the book we've read and are discussing present at our meeting. We read all types of books including fiction and nonfiction. We usually read books published in the last 5 years but at least once a year we try to read a classic.

[close] Book lovers, literary fans and page turners unite! Started around the fire at the Foothills of Carlsbad, each attendee with a glass of wine in hand, the Page Turners was created to unite fellow book fanatics in a developing neighborhood. We meet on the last Tuesday of each month at 7pm at a different member's location of choice and are open to any new members from the Foothills community. The Page Turners was started to generate camaraderie in our new community. We have a wide range of ages, backgrounds, personalities and skills. We have small business owners, teachers, mothers, business managers... the gamut. But what we all have in common is our love of books. As book-lovers, meeting these new people allows us to open ourselves up to new types of books, new authors, and all the while socialize and develop a sense of community.
