HONOR ON ROTARY HILL – A PROGRAM FOR THE AGES
On Wednesday, November 11, 2009, Rotary Hill in Naperville will play host to a very special Veteran’s day ceremony. For the past 4 days, 2009 American flags have stood proudly atop 8 foot tall flag poles in the 3 acre park at Rotary Hill in downtown Naperville in a breathtaking display of patriotism called a Healing Field of Honor. Since last Saturday, event organizers have allowed those who had paid a special tagging fee to place 4” by 6” yellow tags and ribbons on their specially designated flags in the name of a friend or family member who had served or are currently serving in the military. At precisely 11:00 a.m. on 11th day of the 11th month of the year, event organizers will kick off what may be the most stunning Veteran’s Day program ever seen in this community.
