I much prefer Stanza for the iPad that is one fabulously awesome app but strangely it's not listed only the iPhone version.
The limitations of the kindle software especially the lack of font and colour choices, the limitations on page turn choices and the clunkiness of the dictionary (that they finally added) make it a poor number 3 as an app choice for me.

The iPad is my primary reading device, and the Kindle app is what I use on it. Love the device, love the app. Being able to sync between iPad, iPhone, and PC is convenient as hell. Also, contrary to what most people say, I get no eye strain whatsoever after reading for long periods of time on the iPad.

I would appreciate that if Kindle Developer allow Malaysian to purchase kindle app by using Malaysia Store.

Kindly open your market in Malaysia, as most of our people subscript ebook from Singapore.

When it comes to variety of books and if you want a huge collection to choose from, Amazon (Kindle) is the place for that. I love the Kindle store, each book I search for is there.

I love my iPad and the Kindle app. My only frustration is that even though I have an Amazon Prime membership, I can't access the Kindle Lending Library because I don't own the actual "Kindle Device."

Here are my problems. I can not make a purchase through the app from the store. Heck, I can't even get to the store. It makes me nuts. I have to go out to the website to get it to send it to my app. This is completely annoying especially when I know there is a book I want to get.

Other than that, I do like the app a lot. I prefer the google app better, but since I can get a lot more books via Amazon for a lot better price most of the time, I am pretty much resigned to the fact that I will be rea

Because I own both a Kindle and an iPad it was logical for me to grab this app. The only issue I have, which is a device thing more than a true problem, is that the iPad doesn't have the same anti-glare as the Kindle. Other than that, it does its job without any other issues and that's all that matters to me in the end.

The book coves the last four years of the life of Henry VIII and his marriage to Catherine Parr. After Henry VIII, the star of this period of English history seems to be Anne Boleyn, the adulteress who mothered Elizabeth I. Overlooked is Catherine Parr, a more mature woman, intelligent who read Latin, and supported the reform of Henry's new Church of England along more Protestant lines. She is portrayed as a scholar, who often feared death. The book also features the story of Anne Askew. a noted ...more

My main go-to to read all books on my iPad 2 and now my iPad mini. The only thing I wish it could do, would be to let me organize my "shelf" like you can with iBooks. I'd love to be able to, also somehow check books off, once they've been read so that I don't have to keep looking books up to read the description to know if it is familiar or not. Sounds silly but when you love to read and read quickly, having over 500 books in the app, you really forget if you've read some before. Plus when I tra ...more

I got the iPad primarily for reading. Now, I hardly touch my lap top. I also read more than I ever did before. The kindle cloud app is a great addition to the kindle app experience as well.

Don't like at all. I borrow my books from Overdrive, via public library, and it seems you have to use some complicated "only download via USB" system for all Kindle books. Then, Kindle doesn't provide instructions for USB downloads to an iPad. I have never been able to successfully use the Kindle app for iPad. I have been 100% satisfied with the wireless download eBook or iBook or PDF overdrive formats.

For the most part this app is easy to use although not as intuitive as I'd like.

Textbooks are currently the main material I read on the app and one major defect is the lack of advanced search settings. I'll sometimes need to locate the full name of an acronym and without the ability to search in case-sensitive and/or whole word mode I get many undesired results.

For example I searched for CAS (Council of Academic Standards) and got dozens of instances where a word or name included the letters "ca

What can I say ... Kindle continues to WOW me. I recently downloaded this app to my iPad 2 and was pleasantly surprised to find that I could see all the books currently saved in my Amazon.com account. They appear in "the cloud" and a mere click downloads them to my iPad for my reading pleasure - fantastic! I do most of my reading on my Kindle Touch but it is great to have options.

The Kindle app is really great to have. The only thing that I dislike about it is that it does not read ePubs. Other than that it's great.

It's just an okay app, but it's one that I do use.

I have a Kindle (Paperwhite currently, previously a bog standard Kindle) which I adore. Compared to the UI on the Kindle (both versions), the iOS app isn't quite as nice. For one thing, when I export a MOBI book based on some RSS feeds in book form, when it lands on my Kindle Paperwhite (and previous Kindle), it is gorgeous in how it displays the TOC and all the content. With the TOC it displays all the sections and whichever section is selected

iPad is my primary reading device, and not just books, but blogs, news, email et al. I like it... although since buying my wife the Kindle Paperwhite I am seriously tempted to get one myself. Much easier on the eye, especially since I spend 8 hours a day in front of a PC. The only trouble is justifying the spend when the iPad is already more than adequate.

My Ipad just is too bright to read on for very long, even with the brightness turned down. I notice I could not read as long then a regular book or my kindle before my eyes would become fatigued. But my ipad is great for reading the graphic novels I have that are in full color.

I will also use my ipad when I am doing assignments or research in conjunction with my kindle. My husband laughs as its not uncommon for me to have a text book open on my ipad, or reference book on my kindle, while typing

I have the original kindle and the kindle apps for Ipad/desktop and iphone. I love having books available where ever I am, synced to the last page I read. The convenience of having a library of books at my fingertips where ever I am is amazing. That said, when I'm home, I prefer old fashioned books. Call me old, or old fashioned, but I like the information the thickness or thinness of a books read and unread pages provide when I want to go back and re-read a passage. I like being able to fan thr ...more

I prefer the kindle on the ipad as opposed to the kindle ereader. It is much easier to turn pages and I like the larger format. On the kindle, the buttons to turn pages are in a bad spot and makes the device hard to hold. The only thing i don't like is the glare in full sun, but, hey, I can live with that..
