10365 Ok, I admit I get serious douche points for loving this book, but the ending sticks the landing big time. You have to admit it's a tearjerker......and still not as cliche as anything Jane Austen related.

10365 OK, I demand 5 stars for this book! I am a heartless bastard all things considered but I still get weepy every time I read this book! (14 times to date). This book is genius....

41aj8qkuoil Never underestimate the power of Tween girls. I submit Titanic as the all time #1 Box Office Champ as exhibit A. Discouraging nonetheless.

1687351 I saw this at Book Soup last night and was intrigued. It is now a must read thanks to the author being down to earth. Thanks for putting it on the radar.

443782 Surprisingly, yes. I will freely admit that I despise Tom Delay but I was interested to see how he spun his exit from congress (in disgrace). Not that he wrote the book mind you (or even read the text prior to publication) but it does have his impramatur so I suppose we'll hold him accountable for the drivel contained therein.

51ymgu4ha2l I'll send you pictures of yourself as Madame Hooch to tide you over till the next overhyped (yet sadly underwritten) kids phenom comes along......

In all seriousness I did not enjoy 150 pages of Hermione and Harry camping together, maybe we could have used those to better build up the deaths at the end? Everyone dies off screen and there is zero emotional impact. I've been more emotionally involved and on the edge of my seat with whether they'll get the stain out in laundry detergent commercials.

That being said I suppose 13.5 million people can't be wrong. Wait, at least that many folks voted for Bush......give me time to refine my argument ;)

25422 that's some well feigned disgust. nicely done.
120 The only reference I can find to a filmed version of Pickman's Model is an episode of Night Gallery from 1971 (Season 2, ep 17).

There was also a lovecraft spoof in episode 14 starring Carl Reiner-Professor Peabody's Last Lecture.

114345 I have to ask - did you actually read these? If so, I suppose I could admit to a not so secret love for the Anne of Green Gables series....
