295798 Once when I was a little kid Billy Graham came to Columbus and spoke at Cooper Stadium, where the Columbus Clippers play. I didn't go. But lots of people in Bexley did and bought all these bumper stickers that said 'Billy Graham Speaks at Cooper Stadium' and you can still see them around if you look carefully.

42909 i love this book!! why not five stars (besides the fact that books on this website are perennially overrated and it's noble to push back sometimes)?

295892 yes, the author is a former agricultural minister of mexico.

146198 seems to me that if reading this book gave you satisfaction in your relationships with your friends, that sort of destroys his argument. unless you don't have to be very educated in order to read the book.
Helen's review of Good in Bed.

14748 you'd probably have more luck selling/swapping your copy of this book if you didn't slam it so hard

1 just a strange bug... but the book 'zapatistas: making another world possible' by john ross, when viewed from its individual page, has an average rating of 5.00. i guess i'm the only one who's rated it. however, when listed in the 'my books' page of my account, it says it has an average rating of 8.00. clearly this can't be right, but i'm not sure why that happens. not a huge problem for me (and i love the book, so it's not as if the extra-high rating bothers me too much), i just thought i'd point it out.

07/22/2007 11:17PM

345506 no. but i agree that it's comically dense.
07/22/2007 05:53PM

345506 what is it?
07/03/2007 01:54AM

787534 so that's why you were talking about the new deal last night. makes sense. i'll keep an eye out for the book (do you recommend the other volumes?)

46654 a tangential note of praise - way not to inflate all book ratings by two stars, as everyone else does. just because i love this particular asimov series doesn't mean i don't appreciate that
06/04/2007 02:23PM

46654 read the other four, mandy!! they're much better... two come afterwards... one is 'foundation and earth' where the story is definitively linked to asimov's previous 'robot' series of novels... and then the final two are prequels to the trilogy, about hari seldon on trantor. they're much better than the original foundation trilogy... much more mature
