Yes, Squirrel, I can use my client software to override and/or outwit most any website, but the point of my post was to find an answer and to provide feedback about the user experience of this site.

I found it and unjoined. Whew. That is really hidden.

I do understand that I can not click on the link in the email and believe me, from now on, I will never click on a Goodreads email again!

I actually don't use Goodreads to find new books. I really only use it to catalogue those I read but it is good for that, as long as I don't get tripped up by the other stuff!

I just got an email to join a group. The ONLY option in that email was to click on a link to join. I would have liked to have found out more about the group before I joined but my only option was to join. So I joined.

Now I want out. I have now spent 5 minutes searching for a way to unjoin. No can find.

I understand that many folks are here for the fellowship. I am here for the books.

When I get an email for a friend, I'd like a link to that person's profile in the email.

All of this required joining and adding friends is making me a little cranky.

How do I get out of a group? Please??

I'd like to see some more widget options. I'd like one of the book covers that was about 500-600 pixels wide and way long (or, even better, sizeable). I use it not on the side of a page but as the bulk of the page on my website.

I am brand spanking new to goodreads so if I am breaking a rule, please let me know so I won't do it again. If there is a better way to handle this issue, please let me know that as well.
