I read them eons ago so I don't remember that much. I used to love JP but I haven't had a lot of time for him lately.
I like it... i started it twice before really getting into it. takes about 100 pages before it gets going. Not as good as Twilight but you definitely get her writing style.
He's been to our library twice and is an excellent speaker. I haven't read the book but we use a lot of his stuff.
I'm admittedly a Starbucks-aholic. I love the taste of their coffee and spend way too much of my hard earned money on high priced milk with a smidge of joe. I'm an equal opportunity coffee hound since until recently we didn't even have a Starbucks in Casper (now we have 3) so I'll go to local coffeehouses if I'm closer. This book does a great job of outlining how Starbucks came to be, how it exploded into a "can't be avoid, on every corner" part of our culture, and the controversy it undoubtedly brings with it. I loved the author's writing style and you never realize until he tells you in the epilogue exactly how he feels about Starbucks.
Carmen, this book was great. I met Will Hobbs at WLA in September and he talked about this one. It involves a wild animal rescue shelter and "the circle of healing".
Carmen, I haven't read it yet. Supposed to be supernatural (witches, etc) along with Meg Cabot's signature humor, i would suppose.
I agree with Carmen. We should reinstate our book club, so I can start reading "adult" books again ;-).
Thanks Nicholle. I wasn't sure if I should post that as a review and thought, why not. That's what reading and sharing is all about.
