You need to read both of the MAUS books. And BLANKETS. And some AMERICAN SPLENDOR (although, those are more collections of stories rather than a graphic novel). I've heard of this one, but haven't checked it out yet.
Your crazy book binge needs to stop, sir! You've already read twice as many books as I have. I'll never catch up! Damn you.
I finally read this earlier this year and I already want to read it again. I see a marathon BBC miniseries viewing in our future...
You know, I was thinking about you because when I was searching for this one, I found a copy of A MOVEABLE FEAST that you gave to me. I hate to say that I never read it! But I have it sitting right here and I'm going to start it soon. I promise! As for Gatsby, maybe there were some parts that I wish were a bit more fleshed out. The end itself feels a bit unresolved. Maybe it's because I was left feeling like I wanted to know more about the story and the characters - but that's a sign of a good book, right?
Nope, I've never read it. I had a feeling that you were into this book when I started it. I've never seen the movie, either, so I'll have to watch it when I'm finished.
Wow, two stars, eh? I really loved this book when I read it. I've wanted to read it again for ages - I think I may have to now, to see if it holds up.
I was so in love with Louis Theroux when I was in college. In fact, I still have a picture of him that my friend put in a tiny frame back then sitting on my desk. I had this book at some point, but ended up having to return it to the library before I could read it. I need to get back to it. I wish they would put "Weird Weekends" out on DVD. I used to have some of the episodes on a VHS, but I don't know what happened to it - plus, I don't even own a VCR anymore!
Yeah, I heard he was going to be in Tulsa, but I think it was on a weekday, so I couldn't go. I saw him last time he was in Tulsa and he signed my book, "To my honest friend" a drew a little Abe Lincoln since I told him I was from Illinois.
I liked this one, too. He's written a few more with this character, but I didn't get into the second one as much. I did intend to give the third one a try, but I haven't gotten to it yet.
Ok, I have changed it to A WILD SHEEP CHASE, which I considered earlier because it was his earliest book that the library had and I like to read writer's books in order if possible. His first two books aren't available at my library.
I now have AFTER DARK on reserve at the library. I think someone is going to wonder why we're talking about this under Emily Dickinson's poems!
