I haven't read it yet, and on purpose in hopes that SM will complete it one day and also in slight protest to those who leaked it :) Where does the story end, or does it end?
I think that Meyers left the door WIDE open for a series about Jacob...don't you think? I also want to know more.
I completely agree! I had anticipated a big old-fashioned vampire fight...but no. It didn't happen. I guess there isn't anything wrong with a peaceful ending :)
it's too bad that you were so distracted by what you hated to not enjoy the good parts. i think that those who really hated this book are the ones who were upset that things didn't go the way they expected.
if stephenie meyer had ended everything the way that her fans would have wanted then that would have been like robbing her of her own story. not fair.
i'm not saying that the book was perfect, but that was what was intended from the beginning...
Ok, thanks for the comments. I had wanted to read both but didn't know where to start, and now I know that it won't matter much anyway.
Howdy! I am Steph. I live in Dallas, Texas. I have a husband, two plants and a strong desire to get a dog to keep me company when my workaholic hubby is gone 12 hours a day :)
My job is with a restaurant management company, and I am the HR Director. Luckily I only work 30 hours a week :) and it's across the street from where we live (bonus!). I love to read, of course, and I am also addicted to rubber stamping, digital scrapbooking, playing games and hanging out with my husband as much as I can.
I am excited about this book club! It's great to read about all of you above :)
Ok, now I have to read Jane Eyre, especially if their story is equally romantical as P&P. I saw the musical (Jany Eyre) and have seen the PBS version, but nothing is better than reading the book itself.
Oh my goodness...I only only 1/3 way through the book and I am stunned that I didn't realize the kindness is so much deeper than we tend to think. The author is missing one piece: the gospel. So when I was reading the chapter on forgiveness I had to remember that we have that knowledge. BUT, this book is non-religious and yet it has so much common sense in it that I needed reminding about. I do highly recommend it.
