51mdtkwks6l Yeah, I'll do that. A shame though... Amazon UK seems to lose out on a lot of books I'd like to read!

390 I agree totally, Laura. She's not always prepared for what's going to happen and she gets battered and bruised and scared... unlike a lot of her counterparts in other series.

390 I actually prefer the more paranormal than romance slant in my novels, although I do enjoy a good juicy proper paranormal romance. Mercy is a well-rounded character and I like her a lot!

The Kitty Serie.. well, the least I say about those the better, I'd hate to upset someone on my first hour of joining this group!... But in brief, I think they're diabolical. To me, they read like they were written by a three year old.. sorry! :) For werewolves and romance,I'd be more inclined to recommend Kelley Armstrong.

390 I read the blurb - if it sounds interesting, I'll research the author. If I can find an anthology with a short story by the author in it, I'll pick it up and get a sample of how they write, I'll ask people I know if they've read anything by the author and sometimes I'll just buy something on a whim!

390 I don't think Moonlight is showing in the UK as yet so haven't seen that. I can't make up my mind about blood Ties.. I've been watching it and have about seven episodes stored to watch when I get some peace and quiet (not easy in this house!) and I agree Henry is pretty tasty! But... I dunno... it's a bit cheesy :p

84149 I like picking up anthologies as a way of experiencing new authors. This way I can check out their writing styles and get a feel for them before invsting in a load of books by the author!

84136 I read Fantasy Lover as an ebook as well as Dragonswan. I enjoyed Fantasy Lover, it's definity nothing heavy or even really substantial but it was a nice easygoing read, good for when you can't really give too much concentration to something but still need to feed the reading addiction. It's because of this one that I decided to go all out and buy the whole series (in proper book format - as I hate ebooks really) as my christmas present :D

868 I think the less said about certain Pagan forums on the net the better. Considering how open the Pagan structure is, there are some very closeminded people out there who don't believe you can embrace more than one pantheon/path etc. I personally don't see any reason why you can't have Rune Spirits walking with you regardless of the pantheon you work with.

868 You're welcome on the invite :) Need to find some other people who might enjoy it now!

As for my experiences.. well firstly I'm experiencing jealousy over you being a published author :p will check out your novels!

I have been a practicing Witch for nigh on 20 years now. I'm not wiccan, although some of the less "fluffy" aspects of Wicca I can associate with as they are very similar (obviously) to my own beliefs. I don't follow any strict path but have a natural leaning towards the Egyptian Pantheons with Isis being first and foremost but I also work closely at times with The Morrigan - who, in any case, could simply be seen as another aspect of Isis anyway!

The house I'm in now doesn't appear to have any spirits attached to it, so it's actually quite peaceful which makes a change. The house we used to live in however was haunted by its previous owner - an old man called Ron. He would only announce his presence when my other half criticised his DIY skills and then we'd have electrical issues (the oven refusing to work), blown lightbulbs, slammed doors... on and on until he got an apology! But he was harmless enough and quite amusing to have around.

My great grandmother - on my grandad's side - was psychic and during WW2 woke up after a dream in which her eldest son died. She described the scene to my Great grandfather who told her she was just worrying, but they discovered a few weeks later that their son had drowned at sea when the ship he was on was bombed - she had described her son as reaching up to her out of the waves and trying to grasp her hand and saying goodbye.

They're just two examples - I have many more, but I'll share them when my bratty children aren't distracting me!!! :D

868 This group is part of the Eclectic Forum network, which consists of a seperate site housing a forum, photo gallery and download area. All members are free to join the forum should they wish but are under no obligation to do so.

Our aim here is to have discussions on all manner of subjects - hence the term "eclectic". While on our homesite we generally discuss the more paranormal/spiritual subjects we are open to discussing almost anything at all.

With that in mind, let me welcome you to E.D and I hope you enjoy your stay!
