What about forums? I just found a way cool forum that is built around award winning SF authors. Please help spread the word. It's Worlds Without End. http://www.worldswithoutend.comMy only complaint is that to populate it with the books you're reading or have read, it uses a competitor to Goodreads. Ever hear of BookTrackr? As if we needed another one!
Science Fiction and Other ODDysseyshttp://sciencefictionmusings.blogspot.co...
That's mine. You'll even find author interviews.
Also, World in a Satin Bag. I have a whole list on my blog.
I could swear I already posted this, but now I can't find it. I have a free resource site that lists 49 (and counting) reviewers of speculative fiction. Ann Wilkes' SF Reviews List: http://www.annwilkes.com/ReviewPlaces.ht...Feel free to send me additions anyone on here that does sf/f reviews.
Ann
Tim Powers, Neal Stephenson, David Brin and Gregory Frost have all mixed the two in at least one of their books.
I have a free online list of SF/F reviewers, Ann Wilkes' SF Reviews List: http://www.annwilkes.com/ReviewPlaces.ht...There are 49 reviewers listed there now. Hope that helps. And have you checked out Book Blogs? It's an Ning group. You'll find tons there.

Ann WilkesHi gang,
I'm a SF author. My debut novel is getting a lot of good reviews. The last reviewer compared it to Hitchhiker's Guide. Awesome Lavratt is a tongue-in-cheek space opera. I have had many stories published in mags and anthologies. I look forward to discussing SF works here. I also review SF at Mostly Fiction and interview authors at Science Fiction and Other ODDysseys.
My book sales have nose dived. I think partly due to the economy and partly due to lost momentum in the doldrums of summer. I try to get to as many SF conventions as I can. Those and SF bookstores are the only way I can get on the niche bandwagon. I'm on LinkedIn too and have made good contacts from forums there.
Sue,So was it a good book or not? I sort of lost that in there somewhere. I love the blues. Loved the Son House tune, too, btw. Made a bright spot in my day.
Shelagh,I'm already a member. :) I just joined LinkedIn and I already have 48 connections. That's all people I know or have met online. It's great.

Hi All,I'm Ann Wilkes. Author of Awesome Lavratt and numerous sf stories. I actually did slip in a non-sf one to an anthology this month. ;)
I write mostly SF, but have also been known to write other quirky or poignant stuff. I have two blogs,(Actually way more but two that I keep up faithfully.)a website, and I'm on tons of networking groups. I guess I better add this one, too, huh? Anyway, if anyone's curious about the inner workings of a sf writer, you can jump on over to my bio at annwilkes.com. The list of networks is there as well. LinkedIn is the one that's really hoppin' right now. Anyone linkedIn here?
I'm off to hawk my book at a local book fair in a week and then to read from my memoir that is in an anthology the following week. Next month, it's off to a SF convention for same in OR, USA. Finally lining up some gigs again after a slow summer.
I really should be reading. I think I'm still in a funk over the death (yesterday) of my cat. All the more reason to be writing, and reading, eh?
Oh, one of my blogs has an invite to participate in an agent's survey for published writers that might be of interest to some of you.
And of course, let's not forget what today is (for those in the States). :(
I keep hearing about this book. I'm anxious to hear what you think of it. I have Cryptonomicon, but haven't read it.
