This book is in no way an indication of how well-written the other books in the series are. I believe I read somewhere that a ghostwriter wrote this installment to "The Cat Who..." series. All of the others are very good and entertaining - I actually prefer to listen to them on tape because the voice-over guy is enchanting. Please give this series another try with an older book, you won't be sorry!

Sad and a bleak futures is not what I want out of reading a book. I looked at the other comments and I am not the only one who isn't a Picoult fan. Her writing is okay but the content is depressing
