Janeen I totally agree with you! This is one of the few books I just couldn't make myself finish. But if the kids like to read it, so be it.

Wendi And yet it is a cute fast light read. Sometimes it is fun to read just for entertainment purposes. Even if the writing isn't great. I didn't mind the book. It wasn't a favorite, but I thought it was fun to read and would be fine with my daughter reading it when she is older.

Yes, I totally agree Wendi. For example, the Da Vinci code isn't great writing, but I loved reading it. Anything that gets people to read is wonderful in my mind. I think it wasn't really the poor writing as much as the style of writing that turned me off to this book. Just not my kind of book, but I definitely would recommend it to others and in fact recommended it to a few students when I got back on Monday! :)
