Rachel I've not read these before Margaret. I'm intrigued!

Denae Rachel, I have the first 3 and you are welcome to borrow them.

Rachel Thank you! I would like that. How many are there in the series total?

message 4: by Denae (new)

Denae there are 4 now, I looked and I can't find my copy of "The Goose Girl" and its the first one. I will keep looking but if you find it in the mean time start it and I have the next 2.

Margaret I have the Goose Girl. It is actually an autographed copy, do you want me to bring it down, Rachel?

message 6: by Alisa (new)

Alisa Margaret, I loved the Goose Girl, too. I have been wanting to read the other books in the series and my daughter can't wait to get her hands on the next ones. Are #2 and #3 worth the read? Or should we just find the 4th one?

Denae Margaret,
Do you have Forest born? If you are willing would you mind if I borrowed it?

I enjoyed #2 and #3 but I don't read a lot of books that I don't like.

Margaret Denae,
I don't have a copy of the book. I borrowed it from the library

It has been a few years since I have read #2 & #3 so I'm having a hard time remembering why I wasn't as excited about them. But I remember #2(Enna Burning) being really dark so it might be a little too much for Brooklyn. #3(River Secrets) was fine but it didn't hold that magical appeal to me like the Goose Girl. I'm not trying to say that you should skip them because we all have our different tastes but I think one could easily read #4 without reading #2 & 3 and not be too lost.

Alisa Thanks for your post. I think I would like to read the other two before Brooklyn reads them. She is only 10, so #4 might be a good one we can share together.
