When Burroughs commented that he found bipolar sexuality to be a mistake, evolutionarily speaking, he was misunderstood by some to apparently be saying women are a mistake.
From your review, it sounds like this book would piss me off but also challenge me. I can only hope the Jeannine bits aren't so cliche and shmarmy as to not be plausible, or the Janet bits not flushed out enough (in a sci fi sense) as to not be plausible. The Joanna perspective I feel like I understand and have encountered plenty first hand.

Adam, this was a weird one for me. I've actually tried to start this book multiple times and failed. It was a tough one for me to get going in. But once I got about halfway through I was totally into it and absolutely loved it by the end.

Excellent review! I had been tossing up whether to put this book on my TBR shelf or not, but after reading your review, I DEFINITELY have to read this book! Thank you for being instrumental in helping me make this decision.
