Dina I've never read any Georgette Heyer. This one is supposed to be one of her best, isn't it? I'm looking forward to reading your review on it, but I don't know if I'll be lucky enough to find it at antique store. ;)

Melanie♥ Devil's Cub is the sequel to These Old Shades, one of my favorite Heyer's. It is so nice that Sourcebooks is reissuing so many of her titles is lovely trade size books!

seton the 1960s Heyers are usually the versions that I have. Mainly because I can always find them easily for 50 cents where I am.

I would love to have the original hardcover editions with their Art Deco design but those cost $$$$.

Adrienne Great, great review Rane....I read Heyer when I was a teenager, altho' I don't think I read this one (would have been a Library read in the days before I knew you could reserve books from other libraries). I have the Black Moth to re-read and I'm going to add this one too!

Thank you Adrienne! It's been years since I read Heyer so am going back and (re)reading more of her works. Geez, wish I could reserve book from other libraries at my local library!

Thank you Angelc! It's a wonderful read!

Hmm, I wonder if I'm still able to enjoy true regency romances... I love Jane Austen but it's been more than a decade since I reread her books. My reading taste has changed a lot since then.

BTW, great review as usual, Rane!

Thank you Dina!

I think the rest of the family and their antics make up for the lack of time between the couple, plus the book is very short and you pretty much zoom though the chapters.

Keri Great review Rane. This is on my next mini TBR. Do I have to read the first one or can this be read as a standalone?

It can be read standalone but you get more of a greater understanding if you read the first in the series These Old Shades
