I liked it because I listened to it on CD, in the car, where I was too distracted to consider the stupid, boring, symbolic animals. I just listened to the story without giving it too much thought. I'm a bad driver. I can't intellectualize & manuever a car safely!
It was awful. For the first time in my life, I threw a book into the trash when I was done. That's what I thought of it!
I understand how you feel that way when you first get to the end, but after you thought about it and some time went by - did you change your mind at all?
i loved life of pi. can't a book just be interesting without everybody reading all thses symbols and meanings into it, only to hate them?
