Jill I felt that way about Love Shame Love -- the Peter Orner book set in Chicago. I had a blast with it but wondered if non-Chicagoans would feel the same way. I have this on my radar but not sure if I'm going to rush to get to it. Great review.

Kasa Cotugno Thank you Jill. I loved the Orner book too because my partner is from Chicago and we visit his family a lot but I still don't have the insiders take on it.

Jill ...and conversely, I come out to your area. My brother -- age 58! -- got married for the first time last year and they're expecting their first child (my niece) in January. Lots of SF trips on the docket!

Jill That would be lovely. I'll likely be there in late January and will email closer to the date. Perhaps at City Lights, one of my favorite book stores?
