Blythe Yay! You managed to get an ARC? Did NetGalley approve you?

message 2: by Karen (new)

Karen NetGalley just approved me this morning, but I also got a hardcopy from a bookstore's giveaway here in the Bay Area, and I find it easier to handle a DTB much better than a PDF, if all other books I received are indicators... I have a hard time reading PDFs and if you have any tips, please let me know!!

Melinda Karen, how are you liking this? I'm dying to hear from you since we both loved the first one!

message 4: by Karen (new)

Karen I love it. This one definitely is faster-paced with more interesting plot, fantastic characters, and lot of info about the time period they're in. I think it's going to be one of those books that I'll feel sad when finished. I'm at about 70%, and I'm deliberately slowing down already.

Anne I cannot wait to get my copy

Melanie I have always been grateful that you recommended I read ADoW. I can't wait to read this one.

Karen You will like this one, Melanie. Near the end there was an invention that reminded me of your profession.

Melanie Don't tease me even more, Karen. ;-)

Jennifer I'm so excited for July 10th. :)

Melinda What a great review! I I'm cannot wait to read this, you've made me even more excited. Thanks for the review!

Karen Thanks for the kind words, I think you guys will love it! It's a whopping 600-page book! Be prepared.

Jen I'm so glad to finally see a review from someone who 'gets it' There are so many reviews out there from these supposed educated people who found the book tedious and unbearable. They claim the characters are not true to themselves but they completely miss out on the growth the characters go through. I just find it crazy the reviews are either love it or hate it. It's a great book and I'm so sad to have to wait for the third book!

I agree, Jen. This is one of the books that I don't easily recommend to people, not too many can 'get' it.
