I bought this at the airport but haven't started it. I'll read it too and then we can discuss!

Hooray! I love book discussions. I have so far enjoyed the beginning. Her descriptions are so lovely, it makes me want to live at the zoo!

This sounds really interesting and like something that I would really enjoy. I too was a history major and although it is a sad time period, the WWII era is my favorite for the exact reasons you discussed...the hope, the goodness in the face of such adversity.

Do you own this, Colleen? Maybe we could make a borrow-switch...and I'll lend you The Hiding Place. It is also a hiding-Jews-WWII book, and probably my favorite book ever. So uplifting!

I would love to borrow! That sounds like a good one! Unfortunately, I checked this one out from the library, but I have hundreds of others to lend that you are welcome to!
