B0nnie There was a "like" problem but it seems to be fixed now.
Ha ha, I also "like" your bookshelves, Maja.

MrsJoseph I so love your bookshelves!

Have you tried Shadow Blade? can't remember the author's first name but it starts with an "S" and her last name is Glass. I can't say she's Kate (at all, lol) but she's as close as I've managed once you get past Patrica Briggs.

Maja (The Nocturnal Library) Oh, no, but thanks for the rec. I most definitely will.
There's no one like Kate, I'm afraid. :)

Maja (The Nocturnal Library) Bonnie, thanks! I keep coming up with new ones, but I think the ones i have now pretty much cover my needs. :)

Tara Were you able to read the two prequels she had out?? I think she did herself a dis-service by not including her first two short stories introducing Bronx and Trixie in the beginning of her full novel. I found that some of the missing world building was in those and helped the novel flow. But without these I think there is certainly a good amount of missing back story.

Valerie I'm in the process of reading this book - I put it down for a few weeks then picked it back up... I'm starting to get a bit more into it - but I agree in finding it tricky for a woman to write for a male's perspective, not to mention that I've not come across any description of the leading character's features... What does he look like??
