Jenn(ifer) Shan wrote: "Very nice, Jennifer. I felt the same way hearing that NMH album for the first time too."

Thanks Shan. I think it's one of those albums that you either love or hate. Of course I could be wrong about that, but that has been my experience.

Mark I remember the first time I heard In the Aeroplane too!! I was 5 miles high, literally. One the way back from a college trip to Texas, this kid's rocking out with some earbuds. He offers me one. The tune starts playing and it's NMH's Tired of Sex. I'm flabbergasted that anyone else has heard of them in the tiny college I attended. Dude says, "Damn, you're the first person I've ever played this for who knew who they were!" Then: "Have you heard their second album?" I hadn't. I told him this. "Dude, you it is." He pulls it out of his rucksack. We listened to it almost head to head (the earbud cord was extremely short) for half the flight home. :D

Jenn(ifer) (I think you might be confusing NMH with Weezer) shhh.. I won't tell

message 11: by Mark (new)

Mark Haha! I confused the song titles. Song Against Sex, instead of Tired of Sex. :D I do love me some Weezer, or old Weezer. The Green Album was the last that really grabbed me. Some moments on the 4th, but the demo versions they released throughout 2001 were much better than the finished album

Mark "I'm shakin at yr touch. I like ya way too much. Da-da-da-da-daaaa-daaaa-da-da-da-da." "This is beginning to hurt. This is beginning to get seeeerrriiious. It used to be a game, now it's a cryin shame. You don't wanna play around no mo-owowowo-ore." "I've got yr lettttter. You've got my song." "Why bother? It's gonna hurt me. It's gonna kill when you desert me."

So many great lines on this album! Matt Sharp can't be beat either. Wasn't the same after he left.

Ian "Marvin" Graye I saw the movie yesterday and it's great. Unfortunately, I had to break my rule about not seeing a film before reading the book.
