Jana (The Book Goddess) I hope this is really good since I'm kinda debating right now whether to buy it or not when it comes out lol :)

It's had some good reviews so far... I wasn't sure if I wanted to read it myself, even though I enjoyed the first book, but a copy turned up so I thought I might as well give it a shot. I'll let you know how it goes. :)

Kristen Excited to see what you think. I enjoyed book one so I imagine I'll read this one too.

message 4: by Sam (new)

Sam Thanks, Kristen. I have about a third to go now and really like it so far. :)

Sarah (saz101) COLE! MY HEART! EMOTIONS :O
DYING to read this ♥

message 6: by Sam (new)

Sam Cole is, funnily enough, one of my favourite things about this! And I'm usually not a fan of love triangles, but somehow, this one isn't at all frustrating me. :)

message 7: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne Isn't it funny the way some triangles make you want to throw the book and some you can actually "nearly" enjoy. Glad to hear that Brodi is good with recapping too, I've a head like a sieve lol

Sam I suppose I have always found Cole and Nikki's relationship interesting. I find myself supporting something between them... as long as it isn't romantic. Jack is the only one I'll allow for that. ;)

But yes, it's so easy to follow the story here! Everything about the previous book came back to me almost immediately with a little help from Ashton. :D

message 9: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne I was on two minds, I really couldn't decide. Hopefully I'll make up my mind during this book

message 10: by Sam (new)

Sam I hope so. You'll have to let me know what you think when you read it. :)

Katy Soon!!!

message 12: by Sam (new)

Sam Soon = Maybe not for a while.

message 13: by Emma (new)

Emma Oh gosh I'm so glad that there isn't any spoilers... I'm just starting it now and I can't wait. :) I'm looking forward to thus surprising ending and I'm glad she can recap, its been a while since reading Everneath...

message 14: by Sam (new)

Sam I couldn't remember a thing from the first book, so I'm glad Ashton recapped so well. Can't wait to hear what you think! :)

message 15: by Aa'Ishah (new)

Aa'Ishah I haven't read the first one yet, but it looks so good! And whether I enjoy it or not I'll keep in mind that this is better. I'm glad that the love triangle here is actually defendable - I can't believe how tired I am these days of love triangles, instantly dismissing books where the synopsis states quite clearly that there will be one. I'm glad, too, that this one recaps Everneath nicely; I have such a bad memory lol, I'll probably forget what happens in it. All of the characters, and the plot, sound wonderfully engaging. Brilliant review, Sam. :)

message 16: by Sam (new)

Sam I haven't felt this comfortable with a love triangle in a while actually... which says something. And my memory is terrible. It's a wonder I can even manage to review books sometimes. :P

message 17: by Aa'Ishah (new)

Aa'Ishah Tell me about it. It makes me realise I should write a review right after I finish the book, but I never do. ;)

message 18: by Sam (new)

Sam I try to write a review within a week, but when it comes to some of the more mediocre reads, give it a day and I won't be able to tell you much!

message 19: by Rogier (new)

Rogier great review sam

message 20: by Sam (new)

Sam Thanks, Roro! :)

message 21: by ♥Rachel♥ (new)

♥Rachel♥ It's better than the first? What a accomplishment for a 2nd book. I'm a little concerned about the lack of Jack, though. I can't wait to pick this up. Lovely review Sam. :)

message 22: by Sam (new)

Sam I was worried about that too, Rachel, but I promise it isn't as bad as it sounds. There's a large focus on him, so we don't really get a chance to miss him. :) I can't wait to see what you think!

That's a relief. I hope to get to this soon!

message 24: by Laura (new)

Laura Sam! You are killing me with the series! haha...This sounds amazing! Damnit! :D Wonderful review. I will add book one for sure now.

message 25: by Sam (new)

Sam Laura, I reckon you'd really enjoy this! Thanks, love. :)

Stacia (out of inspiration) Glad to see two things : that you can read this without remembering much from book 1, and that it's better than the first. This makes me more excited to read it when the time comes.

message 27: by Sam (new)

Sam I'm not brilliant at remembering what takes place in first books of series in general, but it was especially bad here. I'm glad it all worked out though. :)

I hope you enjoy it, Stacia!

Stacia (out of inspiration) I read the first book last month and hardly remember much of it. If that's not bad, I don't know what is, haha.

message 29: by Sam (new)

Sam Ha! You win. ;) Hopefully it will all come rushing back when you start this.

message 30: by ♥ Sarah ♥ (new)

♥ Sarah ♥ Beautiful review. Just finished this book and I have to say you mirror my thoughts perfectly.

message 31: by Sam (new)

Sam Thanks, Sarah. :) I'm glad you enjoyed it too!

message 32: by Sonia (new)

Sonia Sam, I have just finished reading Everneath. I'm glad to know that they are going to rescue Jack. He cannot just be gone! Wonderful review as always. ;-)
