Great review, Kim! I enjoy this book more with each successive read. I think it rates number three on my Austen list.

Kim Thanks Jeannette. I just wish I hadn't left it un-re-read for such a long time! It's certainly shot up the Austen league table for me. I think that Persuasion will always remain my number one favourite, but each time I re-read another Austen, it forces itself up the list!

It will always be:

1. Persuasion (I love it!)
2. P & P
3. Northanger

I wasn't really impressed with NA on first read, but on subsequent passes I found the dialog between Catherine, Henry and Elanor so funny! I love Henry, and ditzy Catherine.

Kim I love Catherine and Henry too. It's sobering to realise that ditzy girls are not a modern phenomenon! You and I clearly have the same taste in Austen. Persuasion is my clear favourite and P&P is next in line.

Mandy B Where on earth did you get the idea that she didn't revise it? There is plenty of evidence that she did, including the names in obituaries of 1810.
