I just won a copy. Squee!
Have you won anything since you marked it? I won Dearly Departed last year, never received it and haven't won any other giveaways since...:S
Yes. It took a long time but I did win a giveaway from Goodreads last month. I've received that book so everything seems to be okay now.
We don't find out what caused the zombies because in real life if this would happen, we wouldn't find out either. Not unless we were rescued by people who know. It makes it realistic. Nerit is pretty awesome! I love her too! :) Maybe you'll love the next book better.
This is true Giselle. That's why I noted that I hoped it would be answered in future books. ;) I'm sure I will. I hear her writing gets better as the series goes along.

I really only fell in love with the series at book 2 I got to truly care for the characters in that one. Are you gonna read it soon?
I don't know. I will try. I have a ton of review books I have to get to (you know how that is), so I am trying to fit books in there that I want to read. So maybe. Depends on how it goes. I am not reading very quickly these days. :(
Excessive adverbs was the issue I had with Dan Wells' Partials. I even learned a new one: blockily. I didn't think that was a word!
Anyway, great review! Well explained. I like it when there are examples.
