Lisa Vegan Me too. I hope I can read it in time. It's one I've been really wanting to read for a long time so I am happy the group has given me the motivation to actually read it.

It was GREAT. After I write it I'll try to read others' reviews, but I am so backlogged with books I don't know how much work I'll put into it, but I want to write something.

Ronyell Yeah! I had that feeling too when I first read this book. I knew I had other things to do, but I just couldn't resist writing something down for how much I loved this book!

Luckily it was a fast read.

Wow, aren't some writers/illustrators amazing? What a masterpiece.

Ronyell This certainly was one amazing book! I can't believe how well thought up this book was and the illustrations and the writing fitted each other perfectly!

Kathryn Great review! I'm so happy you loved this so much. I agree it is very special.

Lisa Vegan Abigail, I can't wait to see what you think!

Kathryn, I'm lending it to a friend when I see her Wednesday. It's actually out on her library card. She's the one who's letting me use her 15 reserves so I have 30. She's going to LOVE it too.

Yay! So nice of you to finish this quickly enough that she can now read it, too. A nice treat for such a kind and helpful friend :-)

It's 533 pages but I read it in 2 days! It's fabulous!!! Definitely get to it! Wonderful! I might buy it someday. I'd love to more carefully peruse every single wonderful picture.

message 18: by Emma (new)

Emma I agree with you on saying it is a very unique book. It really makes you have to look at the pictures to get the story. Did you see the movie? It was amazing they really followed the story detail by detail.

message 19: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Vegan Emma, I did see the movie and I loved it. Have you read Wonderstruck? I loved it even more than this one, and I'm really hoping they'll make it into as good a movie as Hugo.
