I'm the opposite. Marianne has always gotten on my nerves.

I think Jane Austen was correct when she said that Emma was a character that only she could like. Meaning Emma's not making many friends. ^^

Marianne was annoying, though THE MOST ANNOYING Austen heroine is definitely, by far, Fanny Price (IMHO).
